Visited their booth and spoke with Danny at the 2020 Ft Lauderdale boat show on the first day weds 28 Oct. I gave him a list of items I was looking at purchasing for my boat and he stated he would have a quote to me first thing in the morning. Needless to say, nothing. Hit him up again on Thursday and he stated to my wife he would get it to me in a few, used the excuse of wrong email address. My wife sent him an email to make sure he had the correct email address. Again needless to say, nothing, imagine that. So today I finally received this quote 3 Nov, 6 days later. Although I already bought all the items with the exception of 1 item, plus Danny was missing one item on the quote. The quote was 15% higher from where I purchased the items from. I had a very poor experience with Electronics Unlimited in Ft Lauderdale, FL. Being based in the Bahamas, I consulted with them prior to purchasing an aftermarket custom electronics box and ordered it thinking I had my installer lined up. We agreed on the price and the quote was emailed to me and signed. I then drove my boat to FL to get this box installed as well as some other maintenance work done. I waited over 7 weeks and they keep putting me off. Meanwhile, I was paying dockage fees but it was always one excuse after another. The sales guy Daniel Amador admitted that they were not busy when they agreed to the job but then they got busy, my small job was constantly pushed back. I have worked with Electronics Unlimited for about 20 years on various projects and repairs. When I decided to consider a full electronics upgrade they were a natural consideration. Capt. Mike Del Coro did a great job of putting together the package and setting up everything for the install. Once I decided to go ahead, the installation team did a great job and things were on time and as advertised. We all know boat projects can take a life of their own, but this went smooth.
