Café Seville is a small quaint Mediterranean style restaurant on Oakland Park Boulevard just west of the intercoastal on the south side of Oakland with plenty of parking. As of January 1 café Seville has expanded to a new bar and lounge. The owner Joe Esposito is there most of the time to greet you and provide delightful conversation. The menu is extensive with specialties each day. At lunch and dinner they serve the best paella in all of Florida Which must be ordered about 30 minutes in advance. The paella comes in a giant round pan: you can get it with all fish (which is our favorite) or combination with chicken and sausage. It is a huge serving of wonderful fresh fish and shellfish which is perfectly cleaned without any sand. Since I like it spicier then my wife they have a large selection of various hot sauces which satisfies my palate. We have been coming here for years ordering the paella every time for lunch and it is superb every single time. Frankly, this paella I think is the best in the United States and is comparable to when I lived in Spain. The paella is served at lunch and during the week when it is ordered 30 minutes in advance. What ever you do, make a point of going to Café Seville and trying the paella With either fish and shellfish or the combination with chicken and sausage. My wife and I, guarantee you will not be disappointed. If you want to impress your date, or if you’ve been in trouble don’t bother with flowers or diamonds, take your date to Café Seville and order the...
Read moreWow... I was floored by this gem. I was doing my usual Friday afternoon search for a new place to try and came across Cafe Seville. We were craving Spanish food, mostly with Yellow Rice and Sangria in mind. You want what you want, right? We also are huge on ambiance but that you can't really see through photos. Cafe Seville is inside of a shopping center which I am not a huge fan of being from New Jersey/New York but that is every restaurant in Florida. As soon as we walked in, we knew we had found what we wanted. It instantly reminded me of one of my favorite places back home. We were sat immediately and greeted by one of the most lively server named Tony. Shortly after we were greeted by the owner. With that alone, we knew we were in for a great evening. They provided us with the menu and rolled out a board full of evening specials. Floored by the variety! We started with a pitcher of Sangria. (Fresh and delicious. None of the fake stuff) As an appetizer, we went with the garlic shrimp and sausage (INSANELY DELICIOUS AND SO FLAVORFUL). For the entree, we went with the Seafood Paella. (Huge portion and so good. 10/10). If you are looking for a place that has everything in 1 place- service, food and ambiance ...you MUST come here. We are so happy to know, we have found a new place to call a favorite. Can't wait to see Tony again. So much love that we ended the night...
Read moreWe had this place bookmarked for a while, but never had the chance to go. On this particular weekend, my wife said it was time to check this off our list.
We have heard from our friends this is the best Spanish restaurant in the area and based on our conversation about their experience, we decided to go with one of their signature dishes, the Seafood Paella!!!
Even though we did not make the reservation, the host was willing to take us in and gave us a nice table. The place may not be huge, but I love the Mediterranean vibe. It felt nice and welcoming.
Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. He helped us pick out a nice bottle of Spanish wine to pair with our seafood paella. There were also several specials going on that night and we decided to order the Octopus Santa Fe as our appetizer. I think they should bottle that sauce because it tasted great. The octopus was nice and soft and it was just a wonderful dish.
And then our seafood paella came. It was absolutely the best seafood paella I've ever had. It's got a lot of seafood init like scallops, clams, shrimps, and muscles. The rice was nice and got tons of flavors. The portion was huge, probably big enough for 2-3 people. Everything was absolutely delicious! Definitely worth...
