C2 is one of the greatest learning experiences I’ve had during high school. I started going when I was a freshman and I’ve grown so much as a student and person. I’ve picked up great studying habits, been exposed to every possible SAT question type in the history of practice SAT, been drilled on a never ending vocab packet(a strangely pleasant experience), and built up my confidence that had been deteriorating to the nth degree. The tutors there were all so patient and understanding; even though I got the same question types wrong over and over again, they never lost their patience. As a shy person,I also found it very easy to open up and tell the tutors my dreams and ask for advice. I personally believe that they are the best counselors when it comes to school related issues. Not only are they easy to talk to, they are also--obviously--very smart and great role models. However, what made my experience at C2 so great was seeing my level of confidence shoot up to the highest layer of the atmosphere. Most high schoolers suffer from lack of confidence and this leads to loss of motivation, feelings of helplessness/hopelessness and a “I’m going to fail anyway” mindset. This state of mind is dangerous because the person ultimately stops trying. I believe that having confidence in myself again is the greatest--and most unexpected--gift I’ve received from C2. My tutors always said “You can do it” and after hearing it so many times, I started to think, “oh yeah, I can definitely do this”. I now have the drive to think beyond getting a 100 on my AP Latin test; I strive to end the year with a strong A and a 5 on the AP exam. Learning hundreds of--maybe a thousand--vocab words, mastering math practice sets, and going over every possible nitty gritty grammar mistake will help me earn an amazing SAT score. But in 60 years, I will not remember every morsel of knowledge I’ve gained because of this program; I will remember the day I started having faith in myself because one great thing led...
Read moreI had attended C2 during my senior year of high school at FLHS in an attempt to improve my SAT score. In spite of the little time that I had (roughly 10 days), the instructors at C2 taught me essential skills in test-taking and problem solving; their methods and advice helped me to elevate my SAT score by 290 points. However, C2 didn't stop there; the staff also gave me advice and direction for my future studies in college. They suggested universities and programs that were geared towards my interests and even offered to help with college application essays.
The brilliance of C2's tutoring method isn't the mere memorization of material but instead the utilization of a different learning environment tailored to the student’s strengths and weaknesses. C2’s instructors place focus on personal growth and the development of skills to aid in each student’s studies; essentials such as time management and individualized study habits will continue to aid students beyond high school and into college. In addition, C2 boosts individual confidence not by artificially inflating self-esteem but instead by refining individual ability and showing to the student how he or she is improving over time.
C2’s friendly, knowledgeable, and experienced staff deserves every bit of praise they receive for their comprehensive and thorough approach to learning. Cheers to the people that have helped students like me succeed in...
Read moreAs a student who had to suffer through C2 Education, let me save you the trouble: don’t waste your time or money here. It’s a total money grab, and the tutoring is a complete joke.
Tutoring sessions were supposed to help me improve, but all I did was sit at a desk for two hours doing worksheets with barely any help. Each tutor had three students at once, so forget any real one-on-one support. I might as well have stayed home. It felt like I was being babysat, not tutored.
C2 pretends to care about students, but it’s all about money. My parents were told tutoring hours never expire, which was a lie. Later we found out the hours do expire, and of course, that little detail was buried in the fine print. We were misled just so they could lock us into a contract. Completely shady.
For the outrageous price they charge, I expected quality. Instead, I got overpriced busywork, zero results, and a constant feeling that I was just another number to help hit C2’s sales quota. If you're hoping for real academic improvement, this is NOT the place.
C2 doesn’t care about students. They care about profit. I regret ever stepping...
