#1 Korean chicken place! On my second try on none other than Super Bowl Sunday at 6:30pm (aka too late), they delivered within 1 hour via Grubhub and won me over with their amazing chicken. Not sure why I didn't remember it as much first time around 2 yrs ago, but I'm glad I tried them again. Ppuring chicken (5/5) - Ordered whole chicken 1/2, and as many said, this is savory, sweet & with a hint of delicious kick that you won't expect. Whole chicken gives you good bang for the buck, though you need to break it up a bit. Loved it. Sweet & Spicy Wings (4/5) - Yes, this one has a nice kick with loads of awesome old-skool K-chicken wing yangnyum sauce. Still crunchy somehow under all that sauce! Nicely garlicky too. Snowing Cheese Fries (5/5) - Man, I know wife said it looks unhealthy and heavy but I don't care... fries were not greasy but full of potato flavor and dare I say chewy... with generous coat of that amazing cheese powder delivering the subtle sweet with savory! I really didn't think I would enjoy this as much as I did. Yes, this is heavy-duty fries. I only ate 5 hefty ones each time alongside the chicken. I'm feeling happy rn because I still got like 5 left in my fridge.😜 Okay, it's definitive now - no one comes close to Yam Yam Chicken when it comes to K-fried chicken in this area! Bye bye don, pelicana, & bbq - it was nice knowing you guys. I'll be calling again real soon & you should too for your next...
Read moreAn absolute five-star review. My girlfriend and I are both fried chicken lovers. We have eaten many Korean-style fried chicken. Korean-style fried chicken is obviously 100 times better than American fried chicken, not only because they are fried crispy, but also The sauce can be perfectly matched with the crispy skin. American fried chicken seems to be just fried chicken coated with sauce, but they are separate. For example, pap johns and domino, their sauces are not perfectly combined with fried chicken. This Yam Yam Chicken is the most perfect fried chicken I have eaten in the past 2 years. Not only is the time strictly controlled (15min), the waiter is friendly, and the price is cheap. I don’t advertise them, but I really think they are particularly delicious. It is highly recommended to try it once. I drove for 1 hour the day before yesterday and went to buy it. Definitely...
Read moreWhat a hidden gem! I’ve lived in central and north Jersey, and tried plenty of the local Korean fried chicken places in the past years. Randomly tried this place which jumped out in my google map search, and immediately loved it. I like the rich flavors in the skin without being too salty or heavy, and the chicken itself tasted well marinated and not bland. For the times I’ve ordered, the wings, drumsticks and boneless chicken are all juicy and tender with the just right texture. I need to try more flavors, but so far I recommend soy garlic and ppurings. Also love the taste of pickled radish, which they are being very generous with the portion. On top of the food, the ladies at the register are always friendly despite I do not speak Korean. Definitely my fav Korean fried...
