The past few months working with Mr. and Mrs. Donohue have taught me so much, namely how much I really DIDN'T know about the college application process especially as a first generation college student. I've finally gotten my college decisions in these past few months and I know I couldn't of done any of this, let alone get into college in the first place if it weren't for them, especially Mrs. Donohue who has not only guided me and my twin sister through this process but also was there for me and giving me words of encouragement and advice that I'm going to take with me to college as the stress of the college application process was really getting to me. Their work didn't end at helping me majorly with the college application process (college essay workshops and help, making myself marketable to colleges, gathering all my high school and extra curricular materials, etc) even now they're STILL helping me with scholarship opportunities and organizing my thoughts regarding colleges. Even the college I'm planning on going to I never would've even thought of applying to without Mrs. Donohue talking to me about it!! During high school my life felt like it was ending and I couldn't see past it, but now because of their help I not only can see a future for myself but I'm excited for what's to come as well. I will forever have so much to thank them for. Their knowledge, guidance, and generosity are all things I will forever be grateful for and will continue to effect me even after college. We have been struggling with this BIG time. I didn’t know how overwhelming and far behind we were in the college planning process - It’s so different then when we went!!! We signed up with Jim and Jenn at Class 101 and it has been an absolute game changer. They have been guiding us ALL through the process. We just had our son ask us if he can take the ACT again because “That 1 point will put me at a different level of scholarship”. Who knew? I’m just so thankful to have a Subject Matter Expert to guide us on everything from test prep, to school selection to how to find the money (scholarships). College discussions used to feel overwhelming and pretty much guaranteed another sleepless night, but now the kids are engaged, we parents have a much better handle it and everyone is enjoying it thanks to Class 101!
