Big Lots — Local services in Fort Oglethorpe

Another amazing visit!!! I had accumulated big lots bucks and I was anxiously awaiting to spend them. I wanted more solar lights and whatever else I could use my bucks on but to dismay they sold out of both kinds I previously purchased. When you walk in the store they have a furniture group to my left and it was the sofa I purchased with the loveseat and an otterman. I really liked the other pieces but it wasn't on sale only special financing. I spoke with Justice (furniture associate) and she checked for me to see when they were going to have another sale. So, I was disappointed that I couldn't find anything to spend my bucks on and then I spoke with Joy(furniture mgr?) and asked how the bucks work. She explained that I can use all my bucks if the $ amount can warrant the transaction. Guess what ,it did!!!!!! Justice, Deanna, and of course Joy made my day yet again!!! Thank you ladies for all your help!! Your company has a really great team in your furniture department! I've always purchased my furniture from J.C. Penney's (mgr. for 17 yrs there). This is my new place to purchase big ticket...

Yesterday afternoon around 2:30 I went to return a gift I bought. I didn't have the receipt but the website said I could get an in-store credit for it. The young man at the register told me I couldn't return anything without a receipt. I told him what the website said. He repeated that I couldn't and showed me that the item would not scan without a receipt. I asked why the website would say I could return it.. He just shrugged like he couldn't care less. I went on and did some shopping. I came back to his register to check out ( he was the only one). He rang up my stuff with out saying a word to me, not even mentioning that there was a coupon on the receipt which all the cashiers do. I looked at the return policy on the back of the receipt and showed it to him. He acted like he still couldn't do it. I insisted and asked for the manager. Then he tried to see what he could do. Using my rewards number, which he had to ask for 3 times, he pulled up the transaction and was able to issue me a store credit, which he handed to me without a word. I know good help is hard to find, but...

I am from Northeast Georgia and was on a family trip to nearby Ringgold Georgia for their Christmas parade. In anticipation of some unseasonably cold temperatures for the night parade, and not bringing blankets from home, I ran into this Big Lots to see what they had and buy some. I believe in not giving Walmart all the wealth. I can honestly say I'm glad I did !! We have 2 near home, 1 in Georgia, the other nearby in South Carolina both are very clean and organized. But this store in Ft Oglethorpe was probably the nicest, cleanest, and best organized I have been in. I brought up this to the manager running the cash register when I went thru and she was very nice and engaging. I appreciate people who sincerely thank me for spending money in their business. I am sure that after the announcement of their possibly closing the store has been trashed. I hope this store and my 2 local stores are saved by the 11th hour merger 🤞.
