Gilbert-Stephenson Park — Attraction in Fort Oglethorpe

My kids love this place. We've been going for years. Especially during warmer weather where they can play on the newer playground equipment and then go cool off in the creek. We live walking the trail too. It's easy access for toddlers and my teens still have a good time. They stay mostly on the swings or the big rope climbing area. There is an exercise area and a track to walk around. Lots of covered areas to go sit and eat or as we do our homeschooling.

The bathrooms needs a lot of work. I wish when they updated the park that they would have updated those too. The vending machine doesn't always work and it would be great to have one with more choices. We usually bring drinks but sometimes we are there for so long getting them another...

So glad they've re-opened. The playground and equipment is pretty awesome. The equipment itself is very sturdy, and I felt my Littles were safe playing on all of it. It does have a lot of dried mud all over anything shoes touch. Expect to possibly get dirty, especially if it's rained recently. There is a LOT of mud surrounding the area to get to the playground pad. There is a small area you can go through that isn't as muddy, but you can only see it if you're parked in front of it, or once you've already went through the other mud. If you're prepared for it, or don't sweat the small stuff, it's totally worth it. Seems like they've got something for all ages of kids. Small and big..... We will be going several times a...

I went here as a kid and now I take my kids here. The pool is terrific and the staff is very nice. There is a kiddie pool and a closed off section in the shallow end for smaller kids. The concessions are always great and they play music which is great for the atmosphere. There are 10ft and 3ft diving board which makes for more fun for the kids and adults. There's plenty of parking and there are connected playgrounds, tennis courts, and a walking track. There are plenty of chairs and umbrellas. It gets pretty crowded but that's never been a problem since it shows they have a good product and...
