From the moment I stepped into Ming Moon, I knew I was in for a unique and exquisite dining experience. Nestled in the heart of the city, this Chinese restaurant is a gem that offers an authentic journey through the rich and diverse flavors of China. The ambiance, service, and culinary mastery here deserve nothing less than a five-star review.
As I walked through the doors, I was immediately enveloped in an atmosphere that beautifully blends traditional Chinese culture with modern elegance. The decor struck a perfect balance between opulence and comfort, with intricate lanterns casting a warm glow over tables adorned with fine china and crisp linens. The staff welcomed me with genuine smiles and an attentiveness that promised a memorable evening.
The menu at Ming Moon is a testament to the chefs' expertise and dedication to showcasing the breadth of Chinese cuisine. It offers a harmonious mix of classic dishes and innovative creations that pique curiosity and tantalize the taste buds. Each dish is prepared with the freshest ingredients, and the attention to detail in presentation is nothing short of artistic.
My culinary journey began with the Dim Sum platter, a delightful assortment of steamed and fried bites that were both flavorful and delicate. The Har Gow (shrimp dumplings) were a standout, with their translucent wrappers encasing succulent shrimp, seasoned to perfection. The Siu Mai (pork and shrimp dumplings) and Char Siu Bao (barbecue pork buns) were equally impressive, demonstrating the chefs' skill in balancing flavors and textures.
The main course was a feast for the senses. Teriyaki Chicken, a signature dish of Ming Moon, was a revelation. The skin was crispy and golden, while the meat was tender and richly flavored,. All the elements were together in a symphony of flavors. The Kung Pao Chicken, with its perfect blend of spicy, sweet, and savory notes, was another highlight. The Szechuan peppercorns added a delightful numbing sensation that elevated the dish to new heights.
No culinary journey would be complete without dessert, and Ming Moon's offerings were a sweet testament to the creativity of their chefs. The Jasmine Tea-infused Crème Brûlée was a standout, with its delicate floral notes and perfectly caramelized sugar crust. The Mango Pudding, with its luscious texture and vibrant flavor, provided a refreshing finale to an extraordinary meal.
The service throughout the evening was impeccable. The staff were knowledgeable, offering insightful recommendations and sharing the stories behind the dishes, which added a personal touch to the dining experience. Their attentiveness and professionalism were unparalleled, ensuring that every aspect of the meal was flawless.
In conclusion, Ming Moon is more than just a restaurant; it's a destination for those who seek to immerse themselves in the wonders of Chinese cuisine. With its exceptional food, elegant ambiance, and impeccable service, it offers a dining experience that lingers in the memory long after the last bite. Whether you're a connoisseur of Chinese food or eager to explore its culinary delights, Ming Moon promises an enchanting journey that will captivate your senses and leave you longing for more. Read moreI'm doing another review from this past Saturday 3/30/24. For clarification, I use to eat from Ming Moon all of the time. They had the best Chinese food in the area. This is the 2nd time in a year I've been here. Both times, their dining room was clean, tho the tables on both occasions could have withstood better wiping down. Both times, the person at the counter taking orders was fast & friendly. I do appreciate that you can see the cooking as it's happening. You can also see they keep it very clean. Yet, the quality of the food has changed dramatically. The soup is very strong tasting of sesame oil. Which I understand it's used in the egg drop soup. Yet it's overpowering. The noodles were very bland. The spring roll was mushy inside. The fried rice was the best part of my meal. My husband ordered the sesame chicken combo. He stated the chicken was delicious but the rice was so-so. Needless to say. We paid $30 for two meals in which if we had been on the opposite side of town. We could have went to a buffet for that cost. Yes, I know. We weren't on the opposite side of town. But who would have thought two Togo meals would be $30? Then to get it home and begin eating it to learn it wasn't worth the cost. Huge lesson. 2 times now in a year and both times the quality just wasn't there and the cost is too high for what you're getting. I hate leaving negative reviews. Yet when things aren't as you remember. Or as you would hope. It's best to warn others so maybe they can make that extra drive or do as so many often do. Find out for themselves & later state, "I wish I'd have trusted the reviews". Come on Ming Moon...let's get that quality back that so many, not just me. Remember. Look through the other reviews. I'm not the only one that's stated...
Read moreI will not ever support this restaurant again! After a month of them being out of town, we employees were left without pay (which is weird, because all the other years before, they were paid), Jimmy had told me that whenever they come back to town, I would definitely have my job back. But upon their arrival, I was told that I have been replaced... after a month of believing I would have my job back!! AND ONE DAY BEFORE THEY OPEN BACK UP. Jimmy was extremely rude and does not care about financial situations. After being told I will not be a second choice and telling him how messed up it was to wait until the last minute, all he had to say was "Sorry". Very inconsiderate and left me broke, with absolutely no money to my name AT ALL, and hurt by his promise. I, or my family, will never support this place again. Also, if you're going to tip.. just remember all the tips go to him! We only get our "tips" (only a $50 bonus, BTW.. which is NOTHING compared to how much we actually made in tips) if we show up every day at the right time! If we miss one day of the pay period or are late one day, we get NOTHING.. even if the tips are meant for us! We could get fired for taking a $1 tip.. Shame...
