If you are an intelligent Man/Women, You will not conduct business with U.S.Money shops in Fort Oglethorpe Ga. Since changing ownership this year a few changes have been made the public should know about. #1. All property pawned can only be reclaimed with Cash only, no other form of payment is accepted. Why you might ask? Simple. After I spoke to the new owners based in Minnesota, they simply want to make it as difficult as they possibly can for their customers to reclaim ones property, as they loan only 5% of the estimated value of said property in the first place. They stand to make a killing off your items if you are unable to put together enough cash to reclaim your property. #2. Anyone can walk into U.S. money Shops and purchase anything on display using any form of payment accepted in the United states of America. They accept Cash. Credit cards. Money orders. Cashears check. Personal Check. Does anyone else find this to be Dirty Pool? Shady business? Down right dirty? Poor business practices? I would hope so. This is our community. Our neighborhoods. Ourselves. Our friends and families are being taken advantage of. They can only do what we allow them to get away with doing. I suggest a boycott of U.S. money Shops until they begin conducting business in an honorable fashion. Twin City pawn is 5 min further away and are very Honest and honorable. Poor customer service! I have been in this pawn shop several times and their are a couple of knowledgeable and friendly staff, but there are a couple of staff that each time I have been there the customer service is horrible! I have to ask to get help with an item that is behind the counter and theu were not busy. Talking among each other, and by the way there were 3 of them today. And when you ask them about the item they were clueless about the items (PS4 systems). They had about 10 of them. I ask if any were 1 tb or all 500 gb and if any come with more than 1 controller. She looks at 3 of them and says I believe they are all the same. I'm no dummy... she was clueless and did not know. She did not even offer to look at others or in her computer database to see whay she could come up with. This pawn shop (and I shop and buy from many) is overpriced! I post this as I am over 10 years in sales and CSR experience and if I were this pawn shop I would highly suggest some review in your staffing as it horrible in customer service. My experience has been nothing but positive. I have used this company for at least Three years to purchase everything from a Laboratory Microscope, Home Theater System, Acoustic Guitar and have also cashed checks with them. They have always been courteous, kind and in my opinion very fair in their pricing. If you are looking for a pawn shop with fair prices and although I personally do not deal with guns, if you need one this would be the place to go.
