Waffle House — Restaurant in Fort Oglethorpe

So I came in today 1/27/22 the lady who was supposed to be our server sat us down and walked off, she didn’t give us any menus and it took her about 5 minutes to ask us what we wanted to drink. Afterwards she gave us our drinks and walked off. We were already ready to order. The lady who was cooking came over and took our order and cooked our food and brought it to us. The other server was walking around as if she had no idea what she was doing. I asked for a to go cup and the one lady I think the name was miranda the same lady who had cooked our food and took our order gave me a to go cup I put the rest of the drink in my glass into the cup and it wasn’t much so I had asked the other lady who was supposed to be our server if we could get the cup filled up a little bit if that was okay and she gave me the most disgusting look ever and had an attitude about it. She was making the lady Miranda do absolutely everything while she walked around and done nothing at all. This lady was absolutely rude when we paid she gave my mother disgusting looks she rolled her eyes and had an attitude about everything. Thanks to Miranda she was doing her best she absolutely could and I appreciate her. But the other lady shouldn’t have a job serving treating the people the way she did. During this "Covid" thing.... it is at least nice to be able to go out and have breakfast or dinner. My grandson, is a very picky eater. Yet, waffles and bacon! Are his go to, any time. We didn't have to wait to be seated, they have placed plexiglass between the booths. Which in my opinion, even without the plandemic....is an awesome idea. Cuts down on others just talking all over you and a sense of privacy to an extent. Plus, you always have that "one" as we did yesterday. Someone coughing every 5 minutes. Now days, it freaks everyone out. The lady announced she didnt have the "rona" but still...nice feature to have now. Although....she was in a wheel chair, and sat on the "outside" of the booth.... or you have the mornings or evenings. The drunks come out in the masses bc Waffle House is the place to go after one or many. The staff were great, friendly and prompt. Was very attentive to my grandson. The food was cooked properly, wasn't a mess on the plate when it came. The waitress was truly very sweet.

I could make one recommendation. That they dust or wipe down the seals of the windows when they wipe down the tables. Otherwise. No issues and look forward...

Me and my daughter came in tonight while we was trying to order our food other workers was talking to our server which literally stopped listening to us and paid attention to them that literally happened 3 times in a roll daughter finally said I’m not repeating my self please order for me and same thing was done when I was trying to order for both of us. The grits literally tasted like dirt water the waffles wasn’t thick flat as paper. The server was trying to do her best she was the only one serving. Then the other lady that was helping normally is a cook she was washing dishes then went straight over by the toaster grabbed the towel the wipe down that area and dried her hands. We love this Waffle House always nice atmosphere and normally the food is excellent but guess tonight was off. Yes we did leave a $20 trip we couldn’t help but feel sorry for our server being the only one and was getting rude comments about how food was placed on her to go order and how her order was awful the night before like why come back just to talk like that to folks I hope next...
