New China — Restaurant in Fort Payne

This is a small family owned buffet with lots of choices of food on their buffet tables. They have pizza for those who like that,plus almost every Chinese dish you are used to eating. They also have 3-4 types of soup and they have a salad and fruit bar and they have the best Kimchi in Alabama! This place also has a dessert bar with ice cream,several cookies and cakes and sugar coated peanuts They have a claw machine for kids totey to win a prize. They sell jewelry,and Chinese candy and what nots. And you may get your own food from the buffet as long as you wear a mask and a plastic glove( gloves are provided!) Since the Covid-19 started we have been getting take-out from New China when we wanted Chinese. Now we love Chow King for eating in but to get the very best "Bang for your Buck" in Fort Payne when it comes to Chinese food, New China is the Best. There is always leftovers for the next day and the People there are Extraordinarily kind. We've never once gotten lukewarm food and have never been disappointed. This time my Daughter decided on the Combination Beef & Broccoli with Fried Rice and Egg Roll [she said it was even better than last time] I had the General Tsao's with Fried Rice and egg roll. So Delicious. Can't wait to have the rest for lunch tomorrow. We highly recommend New China...

Came in tonight with my sister to get some food. Noone at the front desk to greet us, stood there for a few minutes until a guy came from the back and tapped the shoulder of the guy sitting at a table who finally got up and took our order. Then when we finally received our food and got home to eat we realized the chicken pieces were all overcooked to the point of being tiny rocks. Inedible. 0/5 all around from food quality to service.
