We were more than excited to visit this shop on the strip. We went in wanting a few tees and souvenirs to take back home. As soon as we got out of the car and walked up an older lady reached out taking notice of us looking at the beach chairs. We didn't think much of her and entered the store. I noticed cute beach pants, kind of like a wrap, cute but not for me. She pointed out the rack, and I expressed the fact that we were just checking things out. I proceeded through the store, and saw a cute hand bag that I feel in love with instantly, I turned around and there she was hovering. At this point she's making me uneasy. I walked over to some jewelry (super cute items) and bam there she was again. Ok, does this lady think I'm going to steal something or what?. I walked over to my boyfriend as he was looking through the tees, which is what we really wanted, we both picked out the one we liked and thought it was a great deal beacuse she told us two for $20 and that was perfect! Mind you this lady is still creeping on us. He felt it too. Alright we have our items, it's time to check out... We lay our items on the counter and then she tells us that there is an up charge for extra large sizes and that they were not part of the sale. My boyfriend and I looked at each other, looked at her and said at the same time, we don't want any of it. The vibe was so bad, the customer service was even worse. We got that "hurry up and buy" feeling from the movie Friday and will never ever shop there ever. They lost out on a 60.00 sale because she was not forthcoming on the front end of the deal and made us feel like we were criminals...
Read moreWorse experience ever! We were on a Girls trip and decided to stop at this gift shop for souvenirs on our way home. Soon as we stepped in the door, we were followed around the entire store. We were the only “Black” customers in the store, other customers were not followed, asked if they needed help or nothing. We were the only customers followed. This store is also very vocal about their political views. Bad Business! If you are “Black” don’t spend your money in this establishment! The sad part is the person who followed us was a “Black” girl, and the manager was a person of color but different ethnicity (hint: if you know you know). We were immediately profiled. But everyone of us were either a nurse and entrepreneur so we had money and was ready to spend. So believe what you hear about Florida! We had first hand experience with this state. Hurt these people with not giving them your money! They don’t respect us! Therefore, stop spending your money with...
Read moreWe made our bi-annual trip over the weekend to Destin and visited this shop. We were disappointed in our visit to this shop. The lack luster attitude and unprofessionalism was very disappointing. Most disappointing is that one of the staff didn't like an innocent joke my husband made and tried to chastise us about it and proceed to rudely ask us where we are from (which was ironic as we noticed from her heavy accent that she was not from there), which is none of their business. She then escalated the conversation into a brief religious contention which we had to walk away from which should NEVER happen!! We couldn't believe the audacity she had to have such a nasty attitude. Making a customer feel unwelcome is terrible for business and should NEVER ever happen! We love this area and spend a lot of money in the area, but never again in...
