Gorgeous Nails — Local services in Fort Worth

I asked for a dip powder nail set and a pedicure. My pedicure was okay but my nail set was horrible. I wasn't going to write a review but when I attempted to remove the nail set two weeks later I changed my mind. Nikki did my nails. I explained to her that I wanted the traditional nail dip system, she replied, " I do for you better and stronger, trust me". I've seen nail techs apply the dip powder with a brush so I'm trusting the process. During the application, Nikki had product all over my cuticles and my skin. As she used the drill my skin was constantly being burnt. Instead of accepting accountability fior doing a BAD job she blamed me for moving every single time the drill burnt my skin. The service concluded, she applied cuticle oil, I paid and left. I washed my hands upon arriving home to treat my cuticles from the burns and was able to see the horrible job that was applied to my nails. I just told myself forget it just don't go back. I went back the next day to show her what she did. She attempted to fix them yet she was burning me with that damn drill again. I snatched my hand back. Said forget it and walked out. Fast forward two weeks later I am attempting to remove the dip nail set to discover Nikki didn't apply the product I requested yet did what she wanted to do and applied a acrylic product to my nails which is the now reason for this review. I was disregarded, disrespected and robbed of my money. I paid for a service that I did NOT receive. I am so done with this nail salon. Nikki said she has been doing nails for 30 years, more like 30 minutes girl bye.......The first set of pictures is from the same day the acrylic nails were applied. I got acrylic with gel over the top. I told the nail tech that I needed something durable and she said “this would be good”. Two days after I left the salon the French tips were already starting to chip away. I called to let the nail tech know right away. I told her that once I arrive home from the trip I was on I would like her to please fix because this doesn’t seem right..when I arrived back to the nail salon the nail tech sat me down and started trying to put gel polish over the top of already cured gel nails. I was expecting her to re-do the French tips, correctly instead of putting a band aid over the problem. She did not want to do that. I did ask the nail tech prior if instead of French tip, since they were already chipping, could she do a solid color and she said no, she would have to charge $15 for a new color. I was not happy with my nails, I was actually embarrassed because they were chipping and the skin around my cuticles was peeling. My cuticles were sore and inflamed just two days after leaving that salon. (Keep in mind, I’ve had my nails done before and never had the skin around my cuticle peeling like this) the nail tech said it weather related and that there’s no way it was from here over doing it with her e-file. Long story short they don’t care if you are actually 100% satisfied like the sign says on the window. If you don’t like the option they are giving then too bad honey! This place is actually now the nail spa + lounge. I really enjoy this place, they serve complimentary drinks, which are very good btw, they are clean, and they have a very nice atmosphere. They do a great job with their gel manicures, I always get them done here and I'm always a satisfied customer. They also have a points system where you can build up to discounts which is pretty cool. I really feel like this is the best salon I've been to, the search for "the one" is over! I'm a very picky person, I've walked out of salons before due to bad customer service or uncleanliness and this place has never made me feel uncomfortable or unimportant. The other "salons" I've been to before cannot even begin to compare to the nail spa + lounge's customer service and appeal. They offer a variety of services and I think they are priced fairly for the work they do. The staff is very friendly and professional, they talk to you like a friend and are very good with simple small talk. I should've written this review the first time I went, but I had to try them more than once to make sure they weren't too good to be true..I've now been more than three times and I'm convinced by their unmatched charm.
