Noel alterations — Local services in Fort Worth

I took my wedding dress in to Noel Alterations and left very unhappy after two separate trips.

I first brought my dress in for a minor alternation. It was simply to take in about three quarters of inch of my sides and stitch my off the shoulder overlay to the dress. A man took the measurements at the drop off. I went in to pick it up two weeks later and the overlay was sewn off center to the dress as well as crooked on the fabric. When pointed out, the lady (who I saw for the first time) said that it came to her like that. It did not. When I bought it at the boutique it was detachable so they are the ones who did it but refused to own it. Second, the dress was taken in 4 inches too small. My dress could not even zip past my hips. 4 inches. The man (that originally measured) asked if I gained weight in the last two weeks. To think that someone could gain 4 inches of weight in 13 days is absurd. I left it there for them to let out and showed up the following weekend for it to be too big. When I said it was now too big, the man proceeded to tell me it wasn’t and that there was nothing that he could do because they already took it in and it was too tight on me. 4 inches too small… that would be because they measured WAY wrong. I never saw the lady from my 1st pick up appointment at the 2nd one.

I paid for my alterations and left with the dress in hand not trusting them with a 3rd round. I called the bridal boutique that I purchased from to find a solution to the problem whether that be a new alterations spot or advice on how to handle the current one. The boutique owner called Noel Alterations for the lady to answer. She said that when I was the their dress looked like it fit. She thought that if we took it in any further that it would be too tight. My question is how would she know because I never saw her on my second visit….

From what I understand they have two people working on items and some miscommunication which led to major mistakes. I am no bridzilla and do believe that mistakes happen. What I am not okay with is when people do not own those mistakes and make them right. That is exactly what Noel’s alterations did on multiple occasions.

I would not have a problem if they have been sympathetic and apologetic for there mistakes and redo what we paid almost $300 for. Instead they denied their mistakes, did not fix it correctly and then practically said that they wouldn’t do it a 3rd time since they already took in and let out.

BRIDES BEWARE... The bridal shop where i bought my dress recommended Noel Alterations, so that is where i decided to bring my wedding dress. The first measuring went fine, customer service was NEVER an issue. Im 5'0 so im fairly short and my dress, as you can see, isnt very detailed on the skirt until the very end of it. The lady working on my dress said that she would have to cut off 9 inches from the BOTTOM of my dress (which is my favorite part of the dress). When i had asked if there was any other way, like taking it up from the waist, she told me there was NO other way. We came to the conclusion that she could bustle my dress ALL the way around the dress so i would have loops of fabric. There was NO WAY she could take it up by the waist. I called and paused alterations while i made some other calls. I was told that someone else could do it for me from the waist and i went to go pick up my dress and pay for the alterations she had already done for me. She then told me, over the phone, in the store, that my dress was not IN the SHOP and that she had BROUGHT IT HOME to work on and that she does this regularly. I paid A LOT of money for my dress, they NEVER told me/asked me if they could take my dress OUT of the store. I went to pick it up the next day and charged me for the work they did and i got to take it home. There are SO many possibilities of what could've happened to my DISCONTINUED...

Noel Alterations is absolutely amazing! We had canceled my wedding and then decided to still have a small ceremony kind of last minute. I wanted to wear my wedding dress but it had not been altered yet. I was having trouble finding somebody who could alter it in time for our ceremony and an Noel Alterations was absolutely wonderful! Not only were they able to get my dress done in time they were reasonably priced super kind and great to work with! She did an amazing job on my dress taking it in hemming it up and also adding a French bustle which looks absolutely beautiful. I could not recommend Noel Alterations enough!
