“A Taste of Home Away from Home"
Van Tran Market Pinoy Pantry has become my sanctuary for a slice of the Philippines right here in Beach Street in Fort Worth Tx. Although not as expansive as some Asian markets, its diverse array of Asian produce never fails to transport me back home. The Goldilocks section is a nostalgic delight, offering comforting treats like to-go Halo-halo and authentic Vietnamese coffee.
One of my go-to favorites is their selection of dried fish, fishball, and kikiam – a taste of Filipino street food that hits all the right notes. The occasional availability of fresh pandesal and other Pinoy delicacies adds an exciting element to each visit. Despite its modest size, the market is impeccably organized, making it easy to navigate and discover hidden gems.
Parking is never an issue, thanks to the ample space outside, and the friendly owners create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Van Tran Market Pinoy Pantry isn't just a grocery store; it's a connection to the flavors, memories, and hospitality of the Philippines. For anyone seeking a genuine taste of home, this hidden gem is an...
Read moreIt's been a year. But I need to put this review out to let people know what kind of owner he is.
This place is very disrespectful. Last year in August i just got out of the hospital after visiting my mom. I had a rude employee there made fun of me for almost slipping in the store. This employee has had given problems a lot in the past. I called the owner Victor Tran to clear up the situation about it. It turns out he banned me and told me not to come back and my family. He even told me that customer is not always right, lol. Also he made fun of my hair on the phone and hanged up on me. I'm very happy that he did banned me, it shows what kind of person he is. It was very unprofessional and disturbing for a owner to talk like that to a customer. What kind of owner does such a thing. I have a lot of people and friends that tells me that the food and vegetable is not fresh and they carry lots of old products. I will never come back and thank you so much for banning me, it saves me from coming to spend my hard earned money at this...
Read moreThis is a WONDERFUL store! THEY SELL MOON CAKES! I've never been able to find moon cakes ANYWHERE and I've always wanted to try one. Now I can have a moon cake whenever I want (and also try the wonderful other pastries they sell). I appreciate being able to buy specialty ingredients not easily found at Kroger or Walmart. I'm trying to cook more Thai recipes at home, since I love eating at Thai restaurants, and this market has been helpful so far. The prices seem pretty reasonable, especially the produce (Green onions are 0.99, the same price as Aldi). There are so many yummy snacks I can't wait to try. Pineapple shortbread?! That sounds heavenly. I will be back,...
