Service: I called and placed my order. I asked the lady what came with the jerk chicken and she told me. I said I would be there in 10 minutes and she said it will be ready. She was right! However, I received curry chicken šŸ¤¦šŸ¾ā€ā™‚ļø. Food: Curry chicken wasn’t bad. Seasoned well, spice was right, however, the cabbage seemed not to be fresh. I received a full plate or two of rice and peas, a normal size portion of cabbage and a decent amount of chicken. Again, the chicken was okay. Not the best, it too didn’t seemed to be cooked today. Just my opinion… Atmosphere: granted, I did a pick up so take my opinion with a grain of salt but, it lacked ā€œwelcomingā€. The guy ā€œsittingā€ behind the counter didn’t greet me. I had to speak to both him and the lady. Cost: I paid roughly $10 for the lunch portion which isn’t bad for the amount of RICE you get. If you are looking for carbs, it’s worth it. Overall, I support small businesses which is why I choose this one however, businesses have a responsibility with food and customer service and it doesn’t seem like they are listening to the reviews about service, and/or food. I hope this place gets better but, I don’t intend on going back.

Escovitch fish was AMAZING. Rice and peas, plantain, oxtail was succulent- no complaints! If you are in a hurry to eat just order before, good things take time !

Best Jamaican Food I've ever had. I ordered oxtails, curry chicken, jersey chicken, brown stew fish, mac's cheese, beef patties, and CoCo bread. Plates include cabbage, rice and plantains. Oxtails were tender and juicy. I Usually don't enjoy Jamaican Rice, cabbage and beans when I go to other Jamaican Restaurants. However, I enjoyed every bite from this restaurant. The rice was fluffy and flavorful. The cabbage was well seasoned. As a matter of fact, everything is well seasoned. The Jerk chicken has a smoked and spicy flavor (delicious). The curry chicken was savory and tasted soooo good. The brown fish stew blessed my tastebuds. The whole red snapper was packed with Caribbean Flavors. The meat fell off the bone on all of my meat selections. Staff was very kind and helpful. Food is appropriately priced. My daughter is a vegetarian and she loved the cabbage, mac n cheese, and rice. She said "Mom, this is soooo good! I want more!!" She tried to eat my leftovers up, lol Sometimes, we get tired of eating the same food. You should treat your tastebuds and try the food here. So far so good. Been their just twice and got the curried chicken dinner the first time with a meat pattie, and the curried goat dinner the next. Both included rice, cabbage, and plantain. Meat was tender and seasoned well. Tasted very good. Plantain was ripe. Not stiff and hard like it can be if it's prepared too early. Would like to get more cabbage with the dinners to get a better balance on the amount of rice you get. But you do get a good portion of the meat. Which restaurants do try to save on cost with reducing the meat and going extra on the rice (Chipotle sometimes). Staff seems like very nice people. Some might find the prices for the dinners a leaning towards the high side. But you can order sandwiches, and I think what they call a plate, which is a little smaller and cheaper than the dinners. The woman who runs it is soft spoken, so I'd suggest considering turning down the music a little because they have a speaker in the ceiling right above the register. So they're going to have some trouble hearing customers and customers hearing her when they order. Place is brand new so they had some growing pains with small things like getting orders right at the register. So be patient with them until they've get everything running smoothly. I hope it's a good location for them since the Hollywood Burger that used to be there closed. I like Jamaican food so I really want this place to succeed. 3 stars for now because I've only been there twice and can't speak on what else they have. But I will be going back to try other things. Edit-Went back and had their ox tail and their jerk chicken with a meat pattie. 1st time having ox tail but I've had jerk chicken before. And the jerk chicken is jerk chicken. So since kids generally aren't good with spicy foods, despite how good it was it's not going to be kid friendly. Whenever I hear about ox tail I always reflexively think what can there be in the tail to eat. But there is and it was very good. The sauce that they put on it had a flavor that I can't pinpoint what it is, but it's really good. So it's was all good enough that I'm...

My son and I visited Caribbean Kitchen a week ago. We were pleasantly surprised to find that it is Jamaican cuisine. We were there for lunch and neither of us knows a thing about Jamaican food. We asked the young man behind the counter for help with the menu. He was very kind and helpful explaining the entire lunch and dinner menus, the meat pies, drinks and desserts. After answering all of our questions (we had quite a few) we ordered two large lunch plates. I had the Brown Stew Chicken and my son had the Jerk Chicken. Both plates came with rice with black beans, cabbage and fried plantain. The Brown Stew Chicken was mildly spicy and was made in rich brown sauce. The chicken was fall off the bone juicy and was in a word…DELICIOUS!!! I tried my son’s Jerk Chicken and it was great as well. The portion sizes were huge. What can I say…I’m a big dude and I like big portions. My son and I also shared a ground beef meat pie because we’re curious. I think they had 4 - 5 different varieties and reminded me of Cajun or Scottish meat pies. It was very tasty as well and made for a great appetizer. We ate in the restaurant and had some nice left overs for lunch the next day. As we were leaving we were met by the owner/chef. He asked us how our meal was and thank us for our business. I told him we loved it and would be back soon. I’m so happy to have a great Jamaican restaurant in the neighborhood and I can’t recommend this...

So look..... you ever had a moment where you was so excited about something and said, "so look".....we were driving on beach when my wife did what's Caribbean Kitchen. I stopped looked puzzled and said I don't know, you wanna try it out. She being picky said no maybe another time but I felt a quickening in my spirit. I had to get churchy real quick. And something said look them up, so I went to Google and saw the many GREAT reviews and I stopped in the middle of the parking lot and told my wife we're going back there. So when we got in the building the people there was so friendly and loving, I knew it was going to be a great place to sit down. But sitting down was my downfall because after eating the wonderful, tasty and awesomely goodness spoon filled that I had mad me not want to leave. I had the shrimp curry with rice and peas and cabbage. The gravy was just right just the right kick to let you know it was curry. My wife had the brown stew fish that was a red snapper. She rarely finishes her food but honestly made a happy plate. I employ you I would even dare you that if you want some good homestyle Jamaican food, then go try Caribbean Kitchen on Beach St and Tarrant pkwy in Fort Worth Texas. I'll probably be the one sleep...
