So far so good. Been their just twice and got the curried chicken dinner the first time with a meat pattie, and the curried goat dinner the next. Both included rice, cabbage, and plantain. Meat was tender and seasoned well. Tasted very good. Plantain was ripe. Not stiff and hard like it can be if it's prepared too early. Would like to get more cabbage with the dinners to get a better balance on the amount of rice you get. But you do get a good portion of the meat. Which restaurants do try to save on cost with reducing the meat and going extra on the rice (Chipotle sometimes). Staff seems like very nice people. Some might find the prices for the dinners a leaning towards the high side. But you can order sandwiches, and I think what they call a plate, which is a little smaller and cheaper than the dinners. The woman who runs it is soft spoken, so I'd suggest considering turning down the music a little because they have a speaker in the ceiling right above the register. So they're going to have some trouble hearing customers and customers hearing her when they order. Place is brand new so they had some growing pains with small things like getting orders right at the register. So be patient with them until they've get everything running smoothly. I hope it's a good location for them since the Hollywood Burger that used to be there closed. I like Jamaican food so I really want this place to succeed. 3 stars for now because I've only been there twice and can't speak on what else they have. But I will be going back to try other things. Edit-Went back and had their ox tail and their jerk chicken with a meat pattie. 1st time having ox tail but I've had jerk chicken before. And the jerk chicken is jerk chicken. So since kids generally aren't good with spicy foods, despite how good it was it's not going to be kid friendly. Whenever I hear about ox tail I always reflexively think what can there be in the tail to eat. But there is and it was very good. The sauce that they put on it had a flavor that I can't pinpoint what it is, but it's really good. So it's was all good enough that I'm...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy son and I visited Caribbean Kitchen a week ago. We were pleasantly surprised to find that it is Jamaican cuisine. We were there for lunch and neither of us knows a thing about Jamaican food. We asked the young man behind the counter for help with the menu. He was very kind and helpful explaining the entire lunch and dinner menus, the meat pies, drinks and desserts. After answering all of our questions (we had quite a few) we ordered two large lunch plates. I had the Brown Stew Chicken and my son had the Jerk Chicken. Both plates came with rice with black beans, cabbage and fried plantain. The Brown Stew Chicken was mildly spicy and was made in rich brown sauce. The chicken was fall off the bone juicy and was in a wordā¦DELICIOUS!!! I tried my sonās Jerk Chicken and it was great as well. The portion sizes were huge. What can I sayā¦Iām a big dude and I like big portions. My son and I also shared a ground beef meat pie because weāre curious. I think they had 4 - 5 different varieties and reminded me of Cajun or Scottish meat pies. It was very tasty as well and made for a great appetizer. We ate in the restaurant and had some nice left overs for lunch the next day. As we were leaving we were met by the owner/chef. He asked us how our meal was and thank us for our business. I told him we loved it and would be back soon. Iām so happy to have a great Jamaican restaurant in the neighborhood and I canāt recommend this...

I stopped looked puzzled and said I don't know, you wanna try it out. She being picky said no maybe another time but I felt a quickening in my spirit. I had to get churchy real quick. And something said look them up, so I went to Google and saw the many GREAT reviews and I stopped in the middle of the parking lot and told my wife we're going back there. So when we got in the building the people there was so friendly and loving, I knew it was going to be a great place to sit down. But sitting down was my downfall because after eating the wonderful, tasty and awesomely goodness spoon filled that I had mad me not want to leave. I had the shrimp curry with rice and peas and cabbage. The gravy was just right just the right kick to let you know it was curry. My wife had the brown stew fish that was a red snapper. She rarely finishes her food but honestly made a happy plate. I employ you I would even dare you that if you want some good homestyle Jamaican food, then go try Caribbean Kitchen on Beach St and Tarrant pkwy in Fort Worth Texas. I'll probably be the one sleep...
