Disclaimer: We LOVE Daiso, this is specifically about one employee.
Today my little sister and I were checking out on self check-out, and I accidentally hit that I used two bags instead of zero. I went to correct my mistake and it said "ask an employee for assistance". So I did. Then an employee comes over and says in a condescending tone, "So there is this little thing called starting over, you hit the button and rescan all of your items. Then you select the amount of bags you used and make sure you only hit zero." I would like to think we are capable to figure this process out, but we were just following instructions and asking for assistance. We were silent after the interaction purely from due to how stunned we were by the employee's rudeness. The significant age gap between the older employee and two girls 19 and under make the situation even more inappropriate. I have worked retail jobs and understand the pressures of responsibilities, especially in newly opened work environment, however I don't think it calls for the unwarranted levels of sass we experienced today. Prior visits to Daiso have been the complete opposite, all employees kind, respectful, and helpful. This particular one was hopefully just a fluke...
