Crumbl — Restaurant in Foster City

Not a fan of the overly soft texture. It just seemed like the cookies were underbaked. If you slice a cookie in half, it'll just look like solid cookie dough inside. The overall sweetness level is quite high and the cookies are very large and thick, so you end up feeling like you have a brick in your stomach after eating only half a cookie, rather than the usual delicious insatiable feeling of "I want another one". I have a big appetite for cookies, so I was surprised at how easily I could stop eating these. I tried putting one cookie on a heated pan on the stove at home and was able to get the bottom to crisp up a bit, but most of the center remained underbaked. Note that many of the cookies have frosting on top, so it is not feasible to just stick these cookies in your home oven and try to re-bake them entirely. I had purchased 4 flavors to try: Milk Chocolate, Salted Caramel Cheesecake, Chips Ahoy, and a special Shark Week-themed frosted sugar cookie. The ordering experience in-store was pleasant since they had a very modern tablet. But I don't think I will be returning soon as I prefer my cookies a little more baked. This Crumbl location is extremely hospitable. While waiting in line, the staff was friendly and constantly conversing with the customers. The cookies of the week and process to order were described in a very informed manner making my experience upon entry very smooth. I was a Crumbl noob and didn’t know what to expect, but this experience converted me to a regular whenever I am craving a soft baked delicious cookie. The staff here is well informed, friendly and welcoming. The bakery is squeaky clean! I swear I think the floor gets waxed like 17 times a day.
