I originally planned to spend the week of the 20th–26th with my boyfriend in SJ, but after some complications we couldn't see each other. Rather than staying home and sulking (and subjecting my mom to it), I decided to get away for a bit. I wanted space to process my emotions in peace, and this place was perfect. Plus, it was close to my sister, and since we’re really close, I knew I’d have support nearby when I needed it.
From the start, my stay here was surprisingly nice. The girl at the front desk welcomed me with warmth and even helped me sort out some payment confusion—she was lighthearted and made me laugh, which I appreciated.
And then there was Cruz. Every time returned from being out, he welcomed me back like an old friend, always kind, always attentive. His presence added a sense of comfort, making the place feel less like just a stay and more like a home away from home.
The room itself was great. I got a single bedroom with a charging port next to the bed and two more at the work desk, and some in the kitchen and bathroom. My window faced the highway, which meant minimal noise and no random pedestrians walking by to witness my emotional rollercoaster.
The hotel provided all the essentials—pans, forks, spoons, etc.—so I could eat my feelings away in comfort. Parking was plentiful, which was a big plus. And the location? Super convenient. It’s right near a shopping center with places like The Cheesecake Factory and MINISO, which made for great little distractions.
One of the best perks was the fridge and freezer in the room. Not only was the freezer cold enough to actually make ice, but they even provided ice cube trays. Small details like that really made the stay feel more thoughtful and functional.
Overall, this was exactly what I needed—a quiet, comfortable space to sort through my emotions (and snack excessively) without any interruptions. Would definitely stay here again, hopefully under better circumstances next time.
Luckily I got too see My Love and he stayed with me for a few days, we connected his computer up to the TV and had a really good time. This week was...
Read moreThis place was a pain from the time we checked in! We visited this place before deciding on making a booking and made several requests which we were assured wouldn't be a problem. First, we asked for a room on the ground floor. Well, we got a room on the second floor. Next, we asked for a non-smoking room. The room we got had a "no-smoking" sign on it but smelled of cigars from the minute we walked in. And within an hour from the time we checked in........we lost electricity! And internet was spotty the whole stay!||||We immediately complained with a gentleman (didn't get his name) at the desk who was quite helpful. He said, in order to make up for all the problems, he would give us 6pm check out since we told him we had a late-night flight on our check- out day. He said he would clear it with his manager who wasn't around at the time. We checked with him again a day or so after and we were told that 3pm was the best he could do. We wanted to talk to the manager, LISA BASA, but she wasn't around AGAIN.||||We finally got to meet manager LISA BASA days later when she sooooo rudely knocked on our door and, in a very loud voice, began to rush us out because she had a cleaner to clean our room and check in the next guest. She was practically yelling at us! ||||We followed her to the front desk to tell her we certainly didnt deserve that kind of treatment! We told her we would certainly be filing a complaint with head office and she said we could go ahead and file a complaint with whoever we want. Well, LISA BASA, i dont know who the hell pissed on your cornflakes this morning but you can be sure we're taking this to your head office!!!||||We come to San Franciso at least once a year because the weather is nice, the food is good and the people are pleasant to deal with. LISA BASA doesn't seem to be from the SAn...
