Man this kills me to leave this review as i really love supporting small local businesses but THREE TIMES IN A ROW all within two weeks of each other is not a coincidence... im going to keep this to the facts only and leave my emotions out of it... i have visited this shop 3 times and here was my experience do what you want with it. Now I live 35 min one way so going back for a refund was gonna cost me more in gas than the refund was even gonna be for.
Visit 1: I was overcharged for a rare star wars set that i was told over the phone the price and the box was even price tagged at the same price that i was told over the phone, yet somehow i was overcharged $5? No biggie, i called the store and they gave me store credit for the difference.
Visit 2: I brought my wife because the store is actually really well set up like a mini lego museum and i wanted her to see it, shockingly she was charged for a product we didnt even purchase. I called back and yet again they gave me store credit.
Visit 3: I used my remaining available store credit and paid the rest in cash. I told the clerk who helped to put "everything" in the one little baggie implying my change as well. When i got home my change was not in the little plastic bag like i had asked for. Yes i should have checked for my change before leaving, but it is the stores job to be integrous not mine! Yes integrous is a word.
This is technically a repeated pattern of theft. Yes they corrected their mess-up however they never offered anything for my inconvenience above and beyond. A few bucks here and there is no biggie for me. How do i know though that this is not happening to others as it happened to me three times in a row, and worse the only three times i have ever been to this store? I WILL NOT RETURN AGAIN, as I work in hospitality and this is just flat out bad hospitality. SUCH A SHAME to lose a customer over a few bucks and get a bad google review...
Buyer beware... CHECK...
Read moreWhat a cool idea! Buy new and used legos and the chance to get credit for bricks that you don’t want or have too many. The mini fig selection is immense and always changing. If you are looking for Marvel, DC, Simpsons, Friends, or unique LEGO personas - this is the place to go. There are 3 long troughs of old bricks and parts to dig through with a ton of variety that also changes. One of the bins is geared towards NINJAGO, while the two others are laced with a lot of angular vehicle pieces and basic bricks of all colors. Anyone with a compulsive nature to match go a bit squirmy looking for the match... They also sell unboxed assembled sets that may not have all of bricks at affordable prices. Without a doubt this is a great way for collecting any rare and hard to find sets such as Harry Potter, vehicles and Star Wars offerings. You can assemble your own mini fig as well with hundreds of accessories. I could get a little more in store credit for each of the 3 times I have been there, but I understand that is a business. Overall it is more affordable and offers much more variety than any mall-based LEGO store. Bricks and mini figs is currently the only one in Colorado and is a great alternative to buying bricks online and finding something that you were not looking for. Check it out. Support local...
Read moreI'll be the first to admit skepticism. They aren't Lego Employees. then i remembered that they are Lego fans and that is precisely why they are amazing at their jobs.
As a 32 year long free builder, watching as supercenters Tower up and overshadow the little guys in Colorado, I often find myself in need of real answers but unwilling to ask. I'm sometimes without Google, the role-playing "informative pocket bestie". On those days, questions are Plenty, but resources are being given to those with separate interests at big name establishments. The video game lifer is segregated in the plant nursery while the retired bakery chef is buried im automotive, and all the while, America is stunned why superstore Employees are so ineffective. they lack specialty, care, consideration....
.... but in Bricks and Minifigs, they put "play well"...
