EDIT I’m sorry, but it’s now well known within the health field that seed and canola oil whether organic or not is 100% unhealthy for us. This response is an attempt to negate my prior review and understandably so, however if you know chemistry, and have been involved with any education in nutrition, you’d know better. Again, these oils cause major inflammation, weight gain mental, heart and other detrimental health issues and none of the response to my prior review is factual, ask any master nutritionist which I’ve had the provide of working alongside three now. Humans have only started consuming canola and see oils at turn of the century and our bodies simply are not designed to process them as their highly refined and is one contributing factor to why Americans have so many health issues. Canola belongs in the garage if you look at it from a chemistry pov, Many studies and much information is now out there to show and none great source is The Model Health Show/Steve Stevenson in podcasts, he’s got a show dedicated to this topic and he’s definitely not the only one. Of course there will be false information attempting to prove otherwise, that’s because it’s such a big buisness and our food industry in America is now known to be very unhealthy in many ways. Stick to Olive, Coconut and Avocado and many restaurants are starting to be more educated and aware and providing these healthier alternatives despite the cost because consumers are becoming more educated.
I’ve always thought this was a healthy choice for going out, however just found the Seed Oil Scout app to find restaurants that don’t cook with vegetable, seed and canola oils as I’m cutting them out entirely as they’re so toxic for us. Many of us are now avoiding seed and especially canolla oil due to their harmful effects on our health causing heart disease, inflammation and weight gain and sadly Mod Market uses canola oil in everything making this restaurant one I’ll not frequent again until this...
Read moreI ordered for myself and my son and after I waited about 15 minutes for our food, I went back in (we were sitting at the fire place in the food court) to see if it was ready. I saw 2 meals identical to what we ordered on a tray so I asked if I could take it since I was standing there and planned on sitting out in the food court outside Charley's since my husband and other son were ordering from there. The woman making the food was very snippy but ultimately said yes I could take it after I told her we were sitting out in the food court and since I was standing here, I didn’t mind taking it to save her the trip. We were finishing up our meals about 30 minutes later out in the food court and that same woman came out with a bag of food and asked if I was Keri to which I said yes. She told me, "you took the wrong food, I just wanted to tell you that." She gave me a dirty look and walked away. First of all, she told me to take the tray of food in the first place. It was exactly what I ordered so I didn't think anything of it. Second, she never asked my name, so NOT MY FAULT. That's her job to make sure the right person is taking the right food, especially if there are duplicate orders! Third, the fact that she left the Mod Market kitchen to walk out into the food court, find me in the crowd, JUST to tell me I took the wrong food was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Go find a desk job if you don't like dealing with the...
Read moreNot only did we wait forever for our food when I came here the staff was rude and seemed to not care about their job or customers. When I saw the salad station there was cheese and date bits everywhere and it looked like the silverware hadn't been cleaned in ages. The lobby hadn't been swept and there was food on all the tables, floors and trashcans. The soda fountain had so much syrup on it and the lemons looked like they'd been out for days.
On top of all of that I worked here for a few weeks and fell Ill with a DEADLY PARASITE called AMEBIASIS and my boss: Jamie let me work when I was sick and infecting all of the food he didn't care and put me on salads and meats. I finally quit because the staff was rude and judged me for being slow when I was obviously sick. I went to the hospital and almost died because the parasite was eating my colon lining. When I came into work the next day I gave him my doctors note and he didn't believe me and immediately put me on meats. I quit the next day. Their importance on health and cleanliness is 0% out of 100% and I will reccomend to every living being to not eat...
