Horrible experience with “manager” Gilbert. Bought several items and checked out w the female cashier. She totaled it up. I then inquired about a military discount since I am a disabled vet. She gave it to me and was very friendly. With discount, the total was $40.43. When I went to pay cash, I was informed that she only did cards but her colleague at the next register took cash. No problem. She cancelled my order and gave my items to Gilbert. When he rang the times up however, they were well over the previous total. When I mentioned about the discount, he gave it to me but the total was still $10 over the previous balance. When I questioned it, he became irate. He stated that “she didn’t ring up everything” which was not true. She had given me a total. He stated “do you want these items or not, if not get out!” Again, I just wanted to know how this discrepancy happened. He came around from the counter, got very close to me and threatened to call the NPS security. I was so disappointed that the other cashier did not stick up for me knowing what my original total was. When I asked to talk to the manager, he rudely told me that he was the manager. Wow...I thought the job of a manager is to get to the root of the issue and resolve it. I did not get rude. I had a right to know where the discrepancy came from. Gilbert should be FIRED! He should not be allowed to ever be a manager and shame on the other cashier when she knew what was...
Read moreI visited the Bright Angel Gift shop around 5 years ago and I had the best experience of my life! I am literally coming on the google to reflect on the experience, many years later. Not only were the staff so wonderful but they went out of their way to accommodate my pet parrot which sits on my shoulder 24/7. Perry was in a particularly cloudy mood this day since the death of his dear brother, my ferret, Andrew. Most people regard me as a bit "kooky" for my unique choice in pets, but I felt so welcome here and they even offered Perry a mini cowboy hat which some hilarious staff member happened to have in the back room I guess. At this gift shop, I bought 45 shirts, which you'll have to agree is a large order, but you have to understand, the children at the orphanage all were so excited. Anyways, I would like to highlight the staff member Deborah in particular, she had rockin' hair and a rockin' attitude. I will think of this experience on my deathbed... maybe the real gift shop was the friends Perry and I made that day
Read moreWorst experience ever, buying in a gift store. They have nice things. The problem started once we went to pay. The guy was extremely rude didn't even say hello, and continued talking to another person while we were there trying to pay for our things. After that I checked the receipt and noticed there was a mistake on my purchase and also on my mom's purchase. We told the guy and he got extremely rude about it and annoyed with us, when it was his mistake! And it looked like it was the biggest inconvenience for him to fix the price that was their mistake in the first place. Didn't even apologize , then another employee came and he was better, we told them this was their mistake and didn't appreciate him being rude, to this the other guy apologized. But the other employee never apologized and continued being rude during the entire time....
