Exploring the Grand Canyon on two wheels with my better half, Larie. The Hermit Road on the South Rim is a must-ride, with unforgettable stops like Maricopa Point and Mohave Poin Tips Plan ahead: Before starting your bike ride, make sure to plan your route and check the weather conditions. It is important to bring enough water, snacks, and appropriate clothing. Start early: The road can get busy with tourist traffic later in the day, so it's best to start your bike ride early in the morning to avoid crowds and have a more peaceful experience. Take breaks: There are several viewpoints and picnic areas along Hermit Road, so take advantage of these stops to rest, enjoy the views, and take some pictures. Be aware of other users: Hermit Road is a popular route for pedestrians, shuttle buses, and other bikers, so be aware of your surroundings and follow the rules of the road. Stay on designated trails: Make sure to stay on designated trails and respect any closures or restrictions. The Grand Canyon is a fragile ecosystem, and it's important to protect it. Watch out for wildlife: The Grand Canyon is home to a variety of wildlife, including deer, elk, and squirrels. Watch out for them on the road and give them plenty of space. Enjoy the ride: Biking Hermit Road is a unique way to experience the Grand Canyon, so take your time and enjoy the beautiful scenery. #bikinghermitroad #grandcanyon #couplegoals #JasonAndLarie

This is a road to some of the most popular overlooks in the South Rim/ Grand Canyon Village area. Note - during high season the rode is closed to private vehicles and you can only access these sites via the park shuttle buses. These buses will not run in bad weather when there is lightning risk. The buses run from one hour before sunrise to one hour after sunset.

A must do if you visit South Rim, Grand Canyon. In summer it's only accessible for bikes and buses. Highly recommend doing a bus ride to see sunset or better yet, rent bikes and ride the rim along the hermit road. Totally awesome.

This is an excellent trail for the ebikes you can hire. At some point, there is a dedicated bike trail. Otherwise, you share the road with the bus. In summer there are no cars. We also were never overtaken by a bus. If you stop at all lookouts and also take a break at Hermits Point, a half day rental is a bit tight. Our family of 5 road back...
