Snowbird medical clinic team is amazing. Had a accident coming down big Emma at snowbird resort. I ended up dislocating my left elbow and fracturing a part of my bone. As soon as the accident happened I knew there was no way I was getting down the Mountain by myself. I was able to flag down 2 gentlemen and they help me till the rescue team got there. The rescue team was able to prop me up, secure my elbow, and wrapped it. They where able to sled me down with the most ease. I was transported to the medical clinic from the bottom of the mountain in their emergency vehicle. With a wheelchair I was pushed to the clinic. Thank you so much rescue team for taking me down! I check in with front desk he was very helpful. They took me to a patient’s room to check out my elbow The RN help me slowly take off all my layers of clothes that I had on without cutting or ripping off. Thank you so much for that. That’s when the doctor came in and introduced him self and Once they where able to see my elbow they definitely could tell it had been dislocated. So they ran X-RAYs on site and to see what was going on. After looking over my X-rays they could see a fracture. I had the option to have it be popped back in place on site or taken down to a hospital to have it further checked out. I decided to have it pop back in place on site. They put me under and they did their magic and they wanted me to do more x-rays now that it was pop back in place. During the x-rays they did a stretch test and my elbow pot back out. I was on morphine and coming back under from ketamine I cannot feel any of pain. Quickly they put me back under and popped it back in place wrap my arm up and put it in a sling. Took the X-rays and they confirm that it was a fractured dislocated elbow. After that I waited a while they sent the x-ray images to a nearby hospital to have it further looked at by specialist. They got word back that I was OK to be checked out and could go to a nearby hospital of my choice. I am from California so I decided to just go to a hospital where I live. Thank you so much no bird medical clinic it was an amazing experience there I’m so glad that happened in your care. You guys are the A-Team. I’ll never forget The Legend! Mike, Doug, Kathleen, Polly, and Carson thank you...
Read moreFirst time in a medical clinic at a ski area after almost 40yrs on the slopes so I guess I was due. Didn’t really know what to expect but I was super impressed. This wasn’t a first-aid station, it was a legit urgent care facility with x-ray machines and real doctors on staff, etc. Way more than I ever expected. They seemed to be having an unusually busy day with the hard snow conditions. Before I hurt my knee we were commenting how many sleds patrol were bringing down with injured skiers and boarders. Once I found my way into the clinic the waiting room was crowded and you could tell how busy they were. But Carson at the front desk immediately took all my info and made sure I had everything I needed to stay comfortable after warning me that there would be a bit of a wait. I waited for about an hour before they saw me and I felt like I was in good hands all around from the nursing staff to the doctor and radiologist. Can’t say how this compares to clinics at other resorts but I don’t think I could possibly expect more. This was as good or better than any other urgent care facility I’ve been in. Five stars all around. Bonus star for the way they handled the unruly kid on the other side of the curtain. I couldn’t possibly be as patient with him...
Read more1/27/24 I was on my first run and came over a blind decline and encountered 2 snowboarders, sitting on the slope, directly in the way of traffic. I stopped abruptly to avoid the boarders and felt a strong pop. From there, I was ushered by toboggan to the clinic, thinking there was an ambulance ride to the ER somewhere. Instead, I was taken into a clinic at the base of the mountain that looked just like an emergency department of a hospital, complete with X Ray! I am also a nurse with my TNCC certification. I can’t even tell you how impressed I was with the entire staff and the care I received while there. I live in a ski town on the east coast and have never seen such a set up at a mountain. Huge shout out to Dr. Sean; Doug, RN; Gini, X-ray; Claire, Front Desk and Polly, RN. I can’t thank you all enough for the excellent care I received from all of you, while there. I hope to recover from my injury and see you all next year (I will walk in after a run and say hi to you all). Gratefully, Sarah Mallett, RN-North Conway, NH PS: the personal card in the mail that I received from these wonderful people made my...
