Great option for scenic view of mountains. You leave from the Snowbird Center (Entry2) and end atop Hidden Peak, a bit above 11,000 feet. If it seems cloudy in the valley, call and they will let you know about the view/ weather at Snowbird. There is also a webcam on their website, they told me this was a great way to see for myself. Cost was higher than i expected but i have nothing similar to compare it to. Be aware that your ears will adjust to pressure several times. I did not see how wheelchairs could be accommodated. This is most likely due to the fact that other than the tram, skiing is the way down. Had to get something to eat while at the top. The Summit restaurant was pick up and go only. Cost was very high. A cookie was between $3-$4. Tram runs every 30 minutes on the hour and half hour. Occasionally, runs a "tween", which is on the quarter hour. They had a tween going up but not for our down. Be prepared for more wind. Be careful with young children who may not understand the inherent danger if they were to run into the snow, off...
Read moreA family friend decided to run. Like, she signed up of her own sound mind for a running competition. I didn't and won't understand this decision, but apparently lots of people do it. So we decided to go watch this person because people who are suffering need to know they are being supported. The main reason, however, was that we were going to be permitted to ride this Tram up to the peak where our friend would be finishing her ascent up the mountain trails and beginning her descent toward the lodge once again. I didn't want to miss this opportunity to save some money on this expensive tram ride and be able to reach the summit without having to hike. In short, it was glorious. This tram ride is pretty incredible. It can hold a couple dozen people and for an extra cost you can even sit on the top of it in their balcony area. I guess the point I'm trying to make here is that this Tram is legit and I'd recommend to anyone wanting to ride a tram up a...
Read moreAmazing place to skii. Better than the last skii place I reviewed. There are many different lifts and areas to skii. It's basically a mountain... literally! There are many different restaurants there and some are on the mountain. There are black routs, blue routs, and green routs. Black is the hardest rout to skii on, blue is decent, and green is the easiest to skii on. There are many different hotels and you wont get lost from the hotel easily. If you enjoy skiing and you really are looking forward to skii on a mountain or if you dont want to but dont want to because your scared to go down it, just go and skii at snowbird. It's okay and nothing will happen to you. Face your fears! The mountain isnt that scary when you are there and skiing. I highly recommend to skii...
