The only reason I put a star is because that is the only way I can make a comment. I have been going to this location for about 6 months now and the elderly caucasian woman always give me attitude. The attitude is minor I have thick skin for that. I continued to come here because it’s so close to my home. Unfortunately last night around 6:50pm, I inserted $20 in the machine and the money didn’t upload on the laundry card at all. The machine kept my money and I was not able to wash. Of course there is no manger or no one there to fix this issue because the workers don’t workers are gone by 4pm, so I waited until this morning to let the workers know what happened. The elderly lady literally cursed me out and told me she seen what happened video and couldn’t see exactly how much I put in the machine so I would have to take that up with the owner. She could have checked the machine herself to see how much I put in but insisted on being overly rude. Ok cool no problem. The only issue is the number she gave me to the owner wasn’t a valid number. So I had to call fox lake police just to get the owner’s correct phone number. The owner said he will not be back for another month and he can only give me $10 (basically shut up and go money). I was very upset with the customer service and treatment. I honestly hate to pull the race card but if your brown skinned and live in fox lake, please let this be your last resource ! I come here and do my laundry every week. It used to be very clean. Lately it's been pretty dirty late nights, that's when I normally go. Also lately the washers don't always spin your clothes out or they get stuck at 5 minutes. Then u have to flip the breakers and wait for the door to unlock so you can get your clothes out. Then u have to put them in another washer because they are still soaked. Also a lot of the dryers don't work as well as they used to. It's the only place around here that is open late. It seems like they don't care about the place anymore, it's going downhill. I have wasted a lot of money on washers and dryers that don't work. I'm not available during the day to come in and get my money back or credited to my laundry card. When I would call they would tell me to come in during the day. I just deal with the lost because it's convenient for me to go late nights. Wish they would clean better and fix the machines. Now they lock the bathroom before they leave, so go pee...

I went here around 730 AM to get started on a metric ton of laundry I had to get done after a move. Since it was a weekday they weren't busy at all, just a few people, and every one was friendly enough. There were several large washers and driers that could handle 9 loads or so at once, and that saved me a lot of time. The staff there was polite, friendly, and I watched her patiently help a woman who had never been in before. Most of the machines were working and in seemed to be good order. The woman who was working that day was cleaning when she wasn't helping customers, and she was paying enough attention to detail that tables had to be in the right spots and straight. And it may seem small, but there were holiday decorations about that were festive without being intrusive. In short: It was very clean, well maintained, and the staff were friendly and polite.
