My husband and I popped in really quick tonight to look at some tables for our dining room. It was quiet since it was about 1/2 an hour before closing time. There were two ladies working. One was so sweet and super friendly. She asked if we needed help. (She was blonde and dressed in black). She let us know that if we looked online and saw something at the regular RH that we liked, we could let them know so they could let us know if one came in. At some point, that lady went to the back or something and I wanted to get info on a table that was already wrapped up and ready to be delivered. So I had to ask the bigger lady in the pink sweater to help me out. She seemed very put off that I needed help. She was very short with me when I asked if I could see the finish on it and get the dimensions. She told me she wasn't going to unwrap it. I obviously would not expect that, but she could have pointed me towards something that was similar and at least been a lot more polite about it. I bought a sofa chair for $1750 without cushion covers (which I was aware of). They said I could buy the covers online, but what they didn't tell me is the website will charge $300 S&H for cushion covers. So I will have to spend another $500 just to get the cushion covers, for a grand total of $2250.
Then imagine my surprise when I find the same chair on the website brand new and on sale for $1718 including cushions and cushion covers (or $1359 with $175 / year membership)!
So I could have paid a total of $1834 for the brand new item on the website, instead I will pay a total of $2250 for a used item with new cushion covers. I suppose it's my fault for not checking the website, but in general a shopper expects to pay significantly less at an outlet so I did not think I would have to! Learn...
Read moreI called this place in advance to see what outdoor furniture they had, in advance of driving the 30 mins. I was told by a younger sounding man they had a lot of things. When I arrived I witnessed very few, piece meal items. I was specific over the phone that I was looking for sofa sets. When I remarked on this to a female employee she had no response but to walk away. A nice man named Mike/mark came over to speak to me and as nice as he was the fact that I got incorrrect info which made me take time from my busy day, was completely negated. I asked who I spoke to over the phone and was told, “I have no idea.” How do you not know what what employers were just in, in the morning. I would never come back based upon that and the fact that the offerings are haphazard, piece meal and nothing at all special. Potential customer lost. Theses employees could literally care less about selling or appeasing clients. My question is, why do they...
