Unfortunately I had a very negative experience and I would have been more interested in writing a personal email to the GM of the Foxboro location however after searching online quite a bit I could not find the email.
I was a guest Thursday afternoon around 230pm, so for the most part there were maybe five other tables in the whole place. I was waiting for someone, so I sat at the bar until she arrived. I ordered a "Malibu with a splash of water". This was after I walked up to the bar and the bartender kept her head down as she was cleaning, so I greeted her. I finished my drink which was a normal pour for a corporate restaurant and she returned about five minutes after to see if I wanted another, out of curiously I asked how much my drink was, because Malibu is cheap crap and not strong not expensive, and to my amazement my drink was rang in on the rocks, for my single poor, and cost me 10.69... that in itself had me confused. Fine, I learned I wouldn't order another.
My girlfriend arrived so we went to the host desk to ask for a table for two, there was about 4 people standing there, fine, so a younger girl walked us over to the legit middle of the dining room, mind you there is only 5 tables in the whole place, to a table right in the middle of the dining room, we asked if we could have a booth( I know annoying but seriously I could count fifteen empty ones from where I was standing). The hostess then said hold on, left us standing in the middle of the dining room, came back a minute later and sat us in one of the empty booths. Why wouldn't she just walk us over there and figure it out with a server in the mean time I don't know, but you don't leave guests standing in the middle of a dining room, never mind an empty one.
Moving along, we get sat, wait probably 7 minutes for the server to come over, as other servers walk by letting us know she will be right with us. We order drinks, and an appetizer, she then ordered it for us on the kiosk, which is cool but then we would have just done that 8 minutes ago ourselves. The appetizer comes out and we order our food at that time. Not one minute later we have a serving bowl of salad and soup, and our hot app? Talk about not being rushed much, and it was then we made it clear we did not want our experience to be rushed. She asked if she should wait a few minutes to out the food in we said yes. About ten minutes later, maybe 15 we get our entrées, of course quickly because no one else is in the restaurant. I guess that time would be appropriate for people rushing in and out but we already had to sacrifice the hot temps of our app and soup by rushing to eat both then there is the food after we expressed we wanted to take our time!
The server drops the food off and does not return for ten minutes. Unfortunately I wish it was earlier because my ravioli were cold, which she should have known from the drop off when the shredded cheese they put on top was only half melted.
When she did come back I asked for a box, expressing the food was cold, I didn't want to waste it so I would just take it home and re heat it. Not only did she not apologize, not offer something else, or even ask to heat it. She dropped off two boxes and didn't return for a few minutes. We decided to pay our bill off the little table kiosk and as we did she dropped the paper bill, not saying thank you, not extending an apology for the cold food, simply said" oh okay you girls are already paying, ill just leave this here". ( Meaning the paper bill)
Mind you, although this probably sounds like a long review for cold food and over priced alcohol and inexperienced staff, the point is that it is ridiculous that people work for their money and go out waste it on an experience like this! ALSO, 3 managers and when I say 3, THREE visited the table next to us of elderly ladies just to say hi. So three managers made it a point to visit these two ladies, but not one touched our table, which received bad service and cold food!...
Read moreFirst the two little girls (wearing a pink and a blue sweater, both blonde) had no idea what they were doing. We walked in behind another couple who were sat a couple minutes after and then several more parties walked in after us. Two separate couples, a family of four, two ladies with a little girl and a baby and then more. One of the girls, the one in the pink sweater sat the couple who’d walked in just after us with us still sitting there. My husband went and asked if there was a reason they’d been sat before us since we had been there first. Both little girls argued with him that the other couple had been there first. No they had not. The manager came up and asked what was going on and sat us immediately and told the server to take care of us. Offered an appetizer free. We declined. While waiting for our food we witnessed first the girl in the pink sweater hurriedly drinking a drink while walking to the bathroom with it. Then she came out without her drink. Then the same with the girl in the blue sweater. Took a drink into the bathroom and came out less than a minute later without it. Looked like a cocktail of some kind. Maybe this is why both girls were being scolded and told to do their jobs and not overstep again. Then the girl in pink was smiling and laughing and the manager asked her if something was funny. She said no and stopped laughing until the manager walked off. Then both girls began to giggle and say something about the manager. The food was all subpar really, salad was limp not crisp. The pasta in my chicken parmigiana was just barely cooked still too stiff. And there was barely a child’s portion. My husbands chicken Alfredo was very dry and the chicken was not good. Neither of us ate it. We got to go boxes to bring it home to our dogs. My husband got tiramisu which was good as usual. So that’s the highlight of the date night. Our server was very friendly and did a pretty good job. After seeing the two girls playing hostess, yes I said it “playing” cuz that’s what they were doing, going into the bathroom with drinks and coming out just less than a minute later maybe they were drinking or drunk. Maybe that’s why they messed up the order we arrived even tho we were literally should’ve been sat next and they skipped us. The manager was very nice and attentive. We saw her walking around the restaurant and trying to keep everything running smooth. She’d apologized for us being skipped and took care of us immediately. But overall a huge disappointment for sure. A total waste of our gift card we got from one of our sons for...
