Frankfort Hardware — Local services in Frankfort

If Frankfort Hardware was in any bigger city, it would be called a great hardware store. The fact that it is in the heart of a beautiful resort town and has just about everything you could need, makes it an amazing hardware store! They have an amazing selection of hardware, tools, home products, camping gear and were even able to help with a sailboat repair. The staff is helpful too! On my last visit I needed gorilla tape and asked where I could find it. I was led to what he called “The essentials aisle’ where we keep the duct tape and WD-40”. Love it!

When in the Frankfort area, it is worth a visit because you will most likely find something you’ll need. Plus there’s an ice cream shop...

I was up in Manistee visiting my sister and her family, in the middle of the January 2014 winter storms. On a clearer day, we took a drive up M22 and ended up in Frankfort hoping that one of my sister's favorite restaurants would be open. Instead, because it was in the middle of the "deep freeze" a lot of shops were closed, including her fav restaurant. We decided to take a quick stop into the True Value. Ended up buying a snow shovel and some souvenirs. We had fun shopping and the young man who served us was very helpful in answering our questions about bird feed. Great memories in Frankfort. We hope to visit again...

These folks are super helpful! We had a roof issue at a family cottage, and they were super helpful on the phone with suggestions, and then when we arrived at the store, the gentleman at the front counter asked “Are the fella who called about the hole in the roof?” and showed me a couple of products that he’d already pulled off the shelves (which saved us time). The store is really well stocked, and prices seemed really fair (especially for a town with lots of tourists and second...
