We spent a very unfortunate year at Berry Farms Apartments. We LOVE Berry Farms as a location. The walkability and access to everything is wonderful.
The apartments are horrible. At first glance they seem great, then you realize they are so cheaply made you feel like you are living in a college dorm. Referencing the cheap finishes, a repairman made a comment that we would most likely be seeing him A LOT.
It seemed tenants of the community were always being asked to be patient over one issue or another. For most of our lease it was the mail room issue, which I believe is finally sorted out, but packages went stolen/missing often. You will see the complaints on the message boards constantly.
Our unit tested high for mold even though it was newer. The main stairwell had mold growing visibly on the carpet as well. We should have used the opportunity to get out of our lease, but opted to be honorable and stay through it since we travel a lot for work anyway. As someone who is sensitive to mold, I stayed away most of the time after we discovered this.
Even though I was told in the beginning that Roundup was not used on their landscaping, I saw a landscaper spraying grass with the big Roundup tanks on several occasions.
We really tried to be positive tenants and look at the bright side despite the issues, but in the end they charged us exorbitant move out fees that were not fair at all. Considering all we had to put up with as tenants, this was a low blow. When I called to talk to management and then corporate we got bounced back and forth with long periods of no response. I finally reached the account receivable staff member and he was so abusive and aggressive on the phone I was completely taken aback.
Despite the great location, we would not pay half the price they are asking to...
Read moreAhhh! Town Center at Berry Farms is such a breath of fresh air (literally)! I moved here in March & I LOVE it! It is so peaceful, & amongst so much nature, it has done wonders for my mental health. There are so many community spaces, sometimes I'll make my breakfast or lunch & just go sit at one of them & enjoy everything around me. It is truly the best of both worlds because it has walking trails, fountains, amazing community spaces, yet also has everything you could need like Publix, the vet for the fur babies, restaurants, chiropractor, dentist, etc.
I have been in Nashville for 6 years but grew up in Downtown Boston so it is important to me to have walkability to the things I need - but I also yearned for the suburb life - I didn't think it was possible to have both...but Town Center has given me a wonderful blend :)
The attention to detail is obvious, they didn't just slap some fake grass + a fence & call it a dog park, they made tunnels, agility equipment, added a water bubbler, etc. The pool has an abundance of chairs & tables but also cabanas. The Clubhouse has classic games like Candy Land, Connect 4, Clue, & it made my whole day when I saw those!
The little things really matter when growing a community, & the staff (I hate even calling them that because they feel more like friends/family) makes sure it is an enjoyable, welcoming, HOME.
My pup & I are incredibly grateful to everyone who has worked so hard to make this such a wonderful...
Read moreMy husband and I were going to move into this property late January and we got a call December 15th saying that the move-in dates were pushed back by 30 days - due to us having to leave our previous complex sooner than that we agreed to cancel the lease. We were told that we would get all of our deposits back. We asked for the mailing address to be updated for us to get the check back and 30 days later our check got mailed to the old address. After opening the letter we noticed our check was only for $300 even though we paid $610 in deposits. When my husband tried talking to the leasing agent Paola about the missing $310 - she said she cannot do it because if she did it for us, she would have to do it for everybody. The biggest frustrating part about this is that we did not decide to move in, this was due to the construction being pushed back. She then tried to haggle us from our money and tell us that we would only get $250 because $60 was used as a processing fee. This type of behavior is extremely unprofessional in any establishment. We had to pay those fees to another company to be able to move in to another complex and now they are trying to withhold those funds. I shouldn't have to haggle over a service/product that was not provided for me. I will be reaching out to the department of housing and agriculture about this matter since it clearly cannot be dealt...
