Iâve actually never written a bad review anywhere before because as a business owner myself I know how detrimental this can be to a small business and everyone deserves a second chance. However if I could rate this place 0 stars I would. First and foremost, the operations are atrocious. It takes about 10-15 minutes to get even a simple coffee let alone anything else. I often times order a matcha and by the time I get it it already cold. I come into this business and other honest coffee roasters frequently because I come there to work on my laptop. I probably spend more there a week than the average person. Today I came in and ordered a smoothie and very politely came to the front desk after tasting it and realizing it was absolutely disgusting and couldnât drink it. I asked if it would be possible to switch it out for a different item on the menu and was told no. After asking if there was a reason why and being astonished at the low level of customer service I was told that they already took the time to make it and it cost money to make the smoothie that they would be losing to make their mistake right. Really? For a $10 smoothie and coffee thatâs overpriced I actually canât believe this company is still in business. Little did they know theyâve now lost a recurring...
Read moreWas looking for a cozy coffee shop to kill some time and draw. This was not that cozy place, however I was able to kill some time waiting in a line of one person...the order in front of me mustâve been intense!
The few tables that were there were taken with empty laptops and kids sprawled about and I didnât want to remove the trash from the one open spot sharing a table with the âloud talkerâ (not the coffee shopâs fault on that one - I promise she didnât take a breath my entire time in the shop đ). There were a a couple swanky floor chairs (pillows?) if you want to try that - not my style. Also a couple bar stools available if you want to gaze into the eyes of the baristas as they make their drinks and help hand customers their change.
Drink was alright - although probably my fault for ordering something not on the menu: a âdirty chaiâ. Too spicy and just missing that velvety âzipâ. Shouldâve gone with the Atlas maybe (borrowed from Steadfast Germantown?). In any case Sam & Zoeâs dirty chai still has me dreaming of my next cup there.
Still gets at least three stars for the decor though. Beachy and definitely in trend. This place mustâve cost a fortune.
Not a bad place just not what I was looking for - hey canât...

Upon walking in I was greeted with a smile and welcomed in. The service was not âslowâ and the workers were not ârudeâ as some of these other recent reviews have claimed. Rather, they were committed to providing quality coffee beverages, while perhaps a little stressed out when they were hit with a small rush of customers. Stressed for a moment, but never rude, and always in control. No customer was left unattended.
At the time I came in, they were only working with a two person team; and balancing food service, register, and an espresso bar at the same time with only two people is a difficult task! I think I may have caught them during a shift change because a third person eventually came to assist, and that made things run smoother.
The food was fresh, and the coffee was excellent! They offered blended and single origin espresso options on their coffee bar. Their Papua New Guinea single origin was delicious! The coffee bean bags for sale were roasted fresh and all within a month of roasting.
Thank you Honest Coffee Roasters at Berry Farms for being a brief but exceptionally pleasant coffee home, away from home!
