Poor diagnostics and bad customer service. I had to bring my phone to be repaired by another shop for half the price, after a week of waiting and poor communication.
My phone was damaged due to a drop. I brought it in to them and an employee diagnosed the issue, ordered the part and asked me to come in the next day. When I had my significant other come back in the next day while I was at work, a different employee took the phone, barely made an attempt to figure out the problem and sent her away after not taking the time to look at the notes for the interaction I had the day before. I called them and discussed the issue and had to come in myself to have the phone accepted. The entire time the employee who turned us away had poor customer care and an attitude.
After waiting a day I called in to check in since my phone was supposed to be complete by then. I was given the option to have my camera replaced or to just pay for the current repairs and pick up my phone. I chose the latter due to the stacking up repair costs.
After a few more days of no responses, I came in after work. This was a few days after I was supposed to have the phone fixed as referenced in their quote. The lack of any initiative or communication led to this delay.
When I arrived, I had to wait for my phone to be put back together as it had apparently been left open since my last call two days ago. I did receive much better customer care, but after all this I was told that my phone had to have all the repairs removed and given back to me due to the camera not passing inspection. That's fine, but if I was told at the time that they told me my cameras needed to be replaced, I would've done so.
Instead I received my phone back after a week of waiting, being quoted $600 worth of repairs, and having my phone given back to me in a now "unrepaired" state. I decided to go to another store in town where they fixed it in the same hour and it only cost me $300 because UbreakIfix wanted to use more parts than were necessary. Only the battery and camera needed to be replaced while UbreakIfix wanted to also replace the screen as well. It is functioning with no issue to this day.
This was completely out of the normal franchise experience I've had in other states. While the manager who I initially spoke to was helpful, kind and knowledgeable, there is something lacking in the store as a whole. I would not recommend this store to anyone I know and hope this review helps others find a place that will give good customer care and helps fix such a critical issue as a...
Read moreIncredibly bad and rude customer service from the manager. Fixed the screen on my phone, and within a month, the screen went blank. Had it fixed at another location due to proximity, and that store told me to go back to Frederick as their initial replacement screen was defective, it had a line running through it towards the bottom. They were out of stock on that particular replacement screen. The Frederick manager told me that they were all separately owned franchises and that he wouldn't fix it, even though it was their screen replacement that went bad after less than a month. He was incredibly rude to me, without prompting, and another employee had to come speak with me, and then they agreed to fix it. I was really in shock about the way I was being treated, and another customer in the store was shocked as well. I remained calm, even though this manager was being incredibly rude. After I received it back from them, the employee asked me to check the front camera which was working. After leaving the store, In a couple of days I noticed that the back camera was not working so I brought it back. The same manager was there and refused to fix it, and basically kicked me out of the store. Incredibly bad customer service, rudeness, and unprompted unprofessionalism from this "manager". He kept using excuses saying things like, the regional manager knows of the situation, etc. Any regional manager, or store owner, would definitely not want a manager like this representing them. This manager should not be working in customer service at all. I wish I could give negative or 0 stars. That being said, the other location was very professional, and apologetic about the situation, and they fixed the reverse camera problem promptly and professionally. Avoid this location and...
Read moreWent there about 2 weeks ago to get a screen replacement on my s24 ultra under warranty. The communication upfront was good. The pickup process was good, and everything that happened the first day went pretty well overall. The issue is that I kept getting a clean camera lens notification for my front facing camera, so I cleaned it and continued to receive the notification. I noticed there was some dust between the camera and the display and brought it in thinking it would be a simple warranty repair on their work. After about 15 minutes of them taking my phone in the back and hearing them murmuring they returned my device to me saying they looked at it (smudged it a bunch with their finger) and said that there was no dust but if I'm dissatisfied I can submit another claim through my insurance. So I thought maybe I was crazy, I do own an optical amscope microphone, so I threw it under there and looked at the camera. There is definitely dust and hair between the camera and the display. I understand that on this device, you have to separate the layers of glass from the display to remove it, and that is annoying, and you would have to pay for it from your corporate pocket. Or maybe store policy is that the employees have to pay for damage out of pocket. Either way, I was gaslit, and that's not cool. I just want my phone fixed because this is not a professional repair or followup process...
