This Aldi was recently remodeled... more produce, more aisles, and brighter lighting. I especially love the produce here. It is so affordable and the selection is now much better than it used to be.
I also love the fish and meat selection (and pricing). This is excellent salmon. We plank grill it and itās absolutely divine and you cannot beat the price.
Also, Aldiās carries specialty items like smoked salmon, artisan cheeses and dips. When we do a cheese board at home we buy at Aldi and save a ton. Why pay $5.99 for Brie when you can get it at Aldi for 3 dollars cheaper?!?
I know some people are so biased about Aldi but did you know the owner is the brother of the guy who created Trader Joeās. They had a falling out and so they split their business but both brothers were able to build worldwide chains that are affordable. Definitely read that story in Wikipedia. It was so interesting!
At any rate, Aldiās quality is darn good, and if you donāt like an item or arenāt satisfied, bring it back and they refund you DOUBLE what you paid. I am typically a happy Aldi customer, but my experience today was unacceptable and warrants a formal complaint. The cashier, Ruby (on shift around 9:30AM, was openly hostile and unprofessional. When it came time to bag my groceries, she abruptly stated she would not assist me because she was "not trained to bag groceries." This happened despite there being virtually no line. Her behavior worsened when I addressed her rudeness. She responded with complete indifference, essentially daring me to complain by telling me her name was on the receipt, and I could "reach out to the manager" if I was "bothered." This showed a blatant disregard for customer service and suggested she felt she was above consequence. Aldi's efficiency is usually top-notch, but an employee who treats customers with such open contempt ruins the experience. Management needs to address this cashier's conduct and attitude immediately to ensure no other customer is treated this way. I will be contacting corporate directly regarding...

The employees that I have encountered have always been extremely friendly, helpful, and go out of their way to make sure you find what you are looking for. Unfortunately, that was not the case today with our checkout person. I sincerely wish I had gotten his name, he is not someone I typically recognize. Light colored hair, glasses and all the way down at the very last register... my husband and I bought 2 bouquets of the half price Valentineās Day flowers, which he rung up at full price. I noticed after our transaction was completed. My husband got back in line to return them. Not only was this guy rude about it, he basically threw the flowers onto the belt, and shoved the money into my husbands hand. Not really necessary.
