Read moreI visited Red Lobster yesterday and had an extremely disappointing experience. Upon arrival, I was greeted politely by the host and informed him that I would be sitting at the bar. After returning from the restroom, I found the area I selected still dirty, with a half-empty glass left behind.
The bar associate approached with an unfriendly attitude, looking visibly annoyed while hurriedly and carelessly wiping down the area, which led to a spill. Her demeanor was unprofessional and dismissive. When I calmly addressed the lack of a welcoming approach, she attempted to overtalk me instead of listening.
The manager made an effort to remedy the situation by offering a free salad, but I believe a more thoughtful gesture was warranted. Unfortunately, the associate continued to display unprofessional behavior, even playing loud music from her cellphone while on duty.
As someone who understands the importance of great customer service, I was deeply disappointed. A welcoming demeanor is essential in hospitality. Despite the unpleasant experience, I left a $20 tip because that’s my standard, but I won’t be returning. To make matters worse, the food was unsatisfactory and ended up being donated to someone in need.
