Awful lack of customer service. My husband and I went into this location to purchase another firearm about a month ago. We approach the gun counter and NOONE offers assistance unless you go up and ask for it. We approach a fellow name, Collin. We let him know that we are there to purchase. He lets us know that it will be a minute as others are ahead and laptops are in use. It is finally our turn and as he starts to setup the laptop to proceed with the purchase process, As my husband begins to answer the questions I turn to him to ask my husband a question about another item I have in mind and Collin with a very nasty arrogant attitude tells me I can NOT be next to my husband during the process then signals me to step away. I step back and am confused as to why a wife can not be by her husbands side during that time. Collin says its not allowed and he ask another worker whom I dont recall his name but if you can roll back the tape of that date, you can see how exactly who it was, If I see him again I would recognize, Asks him to stand by our side so that I may not speak to my husband until the purchase is complete. No where around the store do we see posted rules of this sort. As we were finalizing our purchase, we notice another couple doing the exact same process and both husband AND wife were next to each other talking away while husband was using the laptop and at noone said absolutely nothing to them about what they told me when asked to step away. And both Collin and the other worker who stood guard beside us were there and did not say one word to the other couple. We left VERY disappointed and humiliated with their customer treatment. We decided not to approach a manager as we know it wouldn't get far with our complaint. It would most likely go in one ear and out the other. But we know for sure we definitely will NOT be returning or spending our money on this location again! We are of Hispanic origin and the other couple was not. Seems that Sportsmans choose who to treat unfairly, from what was witnessed that day. My husband and I will be taking our business else where, even if we have to drive further to be treated with much better service...
Read moreI used to be a Loss Prevention Manager for Sportsman's Warehouse, so I was very excited when they opened a store in my location and I would like to see them succeed. With that in mind, I went to the gun counter, intending to purchase a pistol. There were two employees helping another customer and the Hunting Department Manager was floating around. No other customers were waiting. I stood at the counter for about fifteen minutes, clearly waiting to be helped, without anyone so much as making eye contact with me, let alone acknowledging my presence with a, "We'll be right with you." I finally got fed up and went to Customer Service, where I asked the only cashier present if I could speak to the store manager. He informed me that the manager was busy on a conference call and asked if he could help me. I told him what had happened and he said that he would call the Hunting Manager up for me. I said, "Ok, I'll wait off to the side." After waiting about five minutes, I was looking at the cashier expectantly, and he called on his radio again. After a few more minutes he informed me that the Hunting Manager was back at the gun counter now and I could go talk to him. I was rather taken aback that he could not be bothered to come see an unhappy customer, and that I was expected to make the hike to the back of the store again if I wanted to talk to someone. I declined to make the trek and informed the Customer Service employee that I would just go buy from Academy Sports (which I did, and where I received great customer service) instead, and leave this review on Google. I'm still just completely floored at the lack of customer service at Sportsman's; a lot has slipped since back in my...
Read moreMade an online order for pick up, and it sat in the store for days with no email prompt to pick it up. I asked to speak to the manager and requested a refund which I did receive however they never bothered to check where my item was which I had confirmed was in the store from a previous visit however wasn't process for pick up yet. Apparently, the employee in charge of processing online orders that ship to the store was not available to complete this assignment. All of this could have been avoided. Corrective actions would be to verify items' location if a person comes looking for it instead of waiting for a customer asking for its status and then giving them their item that has already been paid for. Please do not respond to me on this platform since I have already issued my experience and solution to this concern. Anything outside of this shows your companies continued lack of customer service consideration, which has the potential to lead to what happened to gander mountain at this location. I won't be back, and I will now let fellow outdoor enthusiasts I know to avoid Sportsmans for their outdoor...
