Another try 9 months later for lunch. Clean and wait staff attentive. Blooming onion appetizer very good but not enough dipping sauce. 3 piece catfish good as was the apple sauce. It was served with some wierd sauce and the waitress was kind enough to have the kitchen make me a tub of tartar sauce. The chilli side was horrible. Overpowered with chilli powder and the ground meat had allot of inedible pieces of meat I had to spit out. Very rough. The wife's burger must have been made from the same ground meat as it was also very tough. She only ate 1/3 of it. No more military discounts here. That program was cancelled. We're giving up on this place.
Lunch trip with the wife. It was 50% ok. The place is clean and wait staff attentive. They have added one of those electronic order/payment kiosks on the table which is a big no no for me. I put it face down and pushed it to the back of the table. I want people working at a restaurant, but that doesn't include me! Substantial steak knife and silverware arrived wrapped in cocktail napkins. The server apologized and said they were out of cloth napkins. They just opened 20 minutes ago. Humm??
My sirloin cooked medium rare was perfect and the salad/sweet potato we're very good. I got the meal for free as a gift thru their Veterans day coupon promotion.
The wife had requested the daily vegetables vs steak fries and her burger to be well done with no pink. And she also requested that mustard be provided. The meal arrived with fries on the plate, no vegetables, and no mustard. The vegetables and mustard showed up 8 minutes later. 1st bite of the burger and it's pink inside. Time to cut your losses at that point. Her meal went back and she requested it be removed from the bill. No replacement as I was almost finished. Maybe we will try it again in a year.
*Note this review was completed without using ridiculous undiscriptive terms like out-of-bounds, OMG, on point, awesome, the bomb, yummy, delish, to die for, do your self a favor, trust me, etc.. Describe the food, service (or lack of) and provide details on the cost/copy of check and include pictures! Is the place clean? No one cares about the waiter/waitress names, their abilities, or if they look like they fell face first into a tackle box. They get changed like underwear and you don't get to pick one. No we don't care about your allergies or the need for...
Read moreWhere to start, The dinner rolls where the best of the whole dinner. Beside the fact the website said a 10 minute wait, reality, and hour wait. A over crowed restaurant. the table game was not free, charged me $1.99 with no warning on the screen. ask my waitress about that. , she just smiled and said "yeah its not free". Now the steak, I ordered medium rare, I got it medium well. and not hot and juicy, but warm and fibery. LIke the steak was not fresh, the meat had a fiber texture. Now being a Saturday and busy. A guy delivered our food holding both my wife's plate and mine in his "hairy arms" no serving tray. that alone was gross. seeing his arm hair touch our plates. The porter house steak was good size. but so much season to cover up the beef taste and the fact it was over cooked, I ate the filet side for the softer part, I ended up taking most of it home, rinsing off as much season as I could and feed it to my 2 dogs. they seemed to like it. The restaurant floor was really slippery I had to walk slow not to slip on a greasy floor. I mentioned it to our hostess, she replied "you have to walk carefully ". This was the second time I ate at this exact Texas Roadhouse. Both times my steak was not worth the price I paid. I like the roadhouse chain and had very good experiences at other locations. Next time I want to pay a premium price for a steak. Ill drive to Maryland or find different steak house. The baked potato was good, the Caser Salad was good for being pre-package. My wife chili was cold. the cup it came in was hot. telling me they microwaved it. My waitress told us that it was the end of the pot so she got us a new one. at this point im like what ever. The waitress was polite, but I only seen her when she took my order. again over crowed, Not really her fault. but her inexperience as...
Read moreI took my family that came to visit from out of state. We ordered 6 meals and one of the six was correct. The server never came to check on us. I had to flag someone that was bussing a table next to us to get our server. He didn't speak English so he ran to get someone that did. I then asked for our server and she came back about 15 minutes later. I explained that the steaks that did arrive were undercooked (Ordered med and med well. One was rare and one was med rare) none of the salads or baked potatoes came and my bone in ribeye never showed up. Another 20 minutes went buy and those that got their food were finished and I was still waiting for my food and the steaks that were sent back did not come back yet. Finally I went up to the bar and found our server again and asked for a manager. The manager showed up and was in my opinion unprofessional and said "Imma gonna go ahead and give you a coupon for your next visit." My family spoke up and said they were from out of state and he said "What we don't have any locations in NH?". When all is said and done, we spent almost two hours there and two people got to eat. The rest of us boxed up and one decided that he didn't want to eat at all after this experience. The manager then took off his steak and what turned out to be a 15% discount and said that it wasn't just us, that they had issues with the whole kitchen that night and startd naming off tables that also had issue with their meals. To me, this is telling me that he was a bad manager and could not get the staff to work as a team. Unfortunately, this is six people that will most likely never eat at another Texas Roadhouse again. I do have to say that I did eat my steak when I got home and it was a decent steak but because of the service, I won't be going back...
