One never knows what to expect on the second day of a new restaurant opening, but the staff at The King's Head Pub in Freeport were already on top of their game. Service was prompt and friendly and my waitress effortlessly answered a couple of questions. The Scotch egg was perfectly cooked and had just the right amount of heat, and the cocktail shrimp were very large and very fresh. The only entree I tried, fish & chips, included two large haddock filets that were very clean and flaky inside and battered with what is called a "British style" batter that was new to my experience, but I loved its texture and the crispy crunch it brought to the haddock.
