Fremont Bay St Farmer's Market — Local services in Fremont

I am an Indian and went to the market yesterday after a long time as I usually go to the Newark market. There was one guy Caucasian I believe was giving the sample cut fruits to everyone and right then when he saw me and my son he turned his face away. Not that I wanted to take the fruit from his dirty hands or from a jerk but it was hurtful the way he looked away as though we didn’t exist and I ended up buying fruits in another store where the guy was helpful and looked into my eye. He was not a racist unlike this guy. Why hate people when there is already enough hatred everywhere! Learn to treat everyone equally, may be take a trip to India to know how you feel accepted inspite of diversity. No one will buy from your store if you treat people lower than you! Respect is everything!

Even in one other store the guy was very unfriendly. These merchants are not kind and don’t know how to treat their customers with dignity! I don’t think I will go to this market ever again cheap mentality people...

This farmers market is a nice size where you can get in and get out in about an hour give or take. The variety of offerings is not the most robust I've seen, but the prices and choices that are available could probably fulfill ~85% of your general grocery needs. The products too are generally quality and fresh, and the farmers are super accommodating with allowing use of your own reusable packing. There is also a small selection of pre-prepared foods, baked goods, and even a fish monger type stall.

There's also a decent amount of parking available in lots and on streets that do not require...

Very nice farmer's market. The farmers are polite and the produce is fresh. There wasn't much cooked food, mostly direct farm to shop kind of produce. One stall each for fish, breads, bakery and body oils.

I went very early, some 7:30 am, and some of the farmers were still setting up their shops. Recommend going after 8:30 am to get the full feel of the market. Plenty of parking in the main shopping lot and near the post office area as well.

I took one star off because the market is much smaller than Mountain View or Sunnyvale Farmers markets. I would guess it is about a third...
