The pharmacy at this walgreens is easily the worst pharmacy I have ever been to in the United States of America. Amongst the staff there is one sharp lady, but the rest are pathetically slow. I go there quite often because it's like three minutes from my house. Plus, I just moved to CA (from Chicago) so at present everything feels like paradise and having crappy service at Walgreens is not a big deal. In fact I find quite a bit of humor in the incompetence of the staff there. The simplest of tasks like picking up a standard prescription takes the staff 5 to 7 minutes. All other Walgreens take about 2 minutes tops, but these guys are really slow. They frequently make mistakes typing addresses and insurance numbers. Once I went in for a pick-up and they couldn't enter my information correctly so they asked me to come back. I returned a few hours later and everything was set. In those few hours they somehow figured how to type in my info correctly. Don't understimate the complex computer keyboards of today. I go to pick up my prescription and the lady pulls up my info, grabs my medication then disappears for about 8 minutes (yes I time everything). I finally looked around the area and saw her standing having a personal conversation with one of the staff lol. Then she comes back to the register and asks my birthdate and phone number. She then attempts to key something in and tells me my info is wrong. She repeated the complex process of entering my phone number and gave up. She disappears and asks for help from someone, returns a minute later and everything works. Beautiful isn't it? This happens so often that you will almost always find a huge line. In Chicago I've hardly waited at the pharmacy, very short lines. The staff were competent. Here they're pretty sad. I've heard Sunnyvale, Palo Alto, Santa Clara are super fast which is normal. This Walgreens is a joke. And so to deal with it I just sit back, relax and laugh at them silently. My smile shines through every now and then but they're too busy with complex data entry to notice. Why stress, look outside and enjoy the mountains, the sky, the air, the food and all the beautiful things that make up...
Read moreThis is a pharmacy where the staff clearly lack proper training.
I ordered a bottle of medication through the Walgreens website and selected in-store pickup at this location. The notification email did not specify exactly where to pick it up â it only included the store number and ZIP code. So, I went to the checkout counter and showed my email, expecting to pick up the item there.
The staff member looked at it and told me that the item was shipped via USPS, and that their store only handles FedEx deliveries, so they didnât have my package. I asked so what's your store number, but he didnât answer and simply repeated that they didnât have my item â maybe it was with the pharmacy department.
I went to the pharmacy line, which was quite long. When it was finally my turn, the pharmacist told me that all online orders like this should be picked up at the Photo department. I went there, rang the bell three times before anyone came. That person also looked at my email and said they didnât have it, and that I should go ask at checkout again.
I explained that I had already been to checkout, the pharmacy, and now here, and I wasnât going to keep going in circles. He then asked another employee, who also didnât know. A third employee was consulted and told the first one to search through a pile of packages. It wasnât there â but eventually they found my name in another pile.
I must say, while most of the staff were willing to help, it was clear that they were all poorly trained and unfamiliar with their own storeâs procedures. This was especially true of the first person at the checkout counter, who firmly insisted they do not handle USPS deliveries. If I hadnât already paid online, I might have just walked out...
Read moreThis store pharmacy is terrible. I went to the store to get my booster shot because I am immune compromised patient. The pharmacist Erxx is unprofessional, rude and especially impatient to customers. First, he raised his voice on me just because I didn't fill in one spot (out of 20 spots) on the consent form which I was not sure about. He was blaming me on missing that spot and literally giving me a lecture at counter in front of everybody. Second, I told him that I was immune compromised due to certain condition. I had medicine history in Walgreen system and I also showed him CDC guideline that patient can self-attest moderately and severely immune compromised condition to get boost shot. I told him that he could even call my doctor. Eric refused to listen to me and kept me wait for about two hours in the store. Later the pharmacist from other store "advised" him that I was indeed immune compromised until then I finally got my boost shot after about two hours of waiting. At the end, I asked him why 220 people to give 1.9 stars for this store on Google review, he claimed "the previous pharmacist was worse than me", so he sounded like I should have been grateful for his treatment to me today because he was "better than the previous one". It was just an awful experience I had in a Walgreen store. This pharmacist clearly showed very strong attitude towards customer almost wanted to quarrel with you. He didn't show any customer service and professionalism. I have never had that kind of bad experience before in any other Walgreen store. This explain the 1.9 stars rating well. This place needs a...
