As a longtime Michaelās Customer and shopper. Iām very disappointed about my most recent Customer Service experience and how I was treated at this particular Michaelās location in Pearland, Tx on Friday, August 1st 2025. I experienced on a couple occasions at this location a level of poor Customer Service. The employees are very unprofessional, disrespectful, incompetent and not courteous or helpful. Unfortunately, these young inexperienced employees obviously care more about getting a paycheck and less about assisting the Customers correctly. Going forward, the young lady the Store Manager named Lauren, as well as the other employee Associates need to be properly retrained in how to assist with Consumers in a Retail Store environment. Also, the Michaelās Store Associates need to follow proper compliance and procedures. And, the Store employees need to stop being rude by displaying an arrogant behavior and attitude towards the Customer. Due to a particular procedure that the Store Associate do not know or understand how to accomplish. And then, the employee gets an attitude and refuses to communicate constructively to the Customer about the problem. In addition, then proceeds to insult the customer and then says their being rude and should be more understanding to their coworker. Unfortunately, sadly this is what I experienced with Michaelās Store Manager Ms. Lauren who was very disrespectful and had a very bad attitude towards me while assisting an employee who could not process my merchandise transaction correctly, accurately and efficiently at the register. Furthermore, this is not the way a business with hired employees should behave towards the public with their customers. Especially with other favorable business competitors in the Retail industry that need Consumers (Customers) like me and others. I headed to the store and found the order pickup location which is located in a FIRE ZONE!!!! Why would you have a curbside pickup in a fire zone? So I checked in online and it stated it would be right out. 15 minutes later still waiting so I call the store to let them know Iām here. The lady on the phone said someone would be right out. Another 10 minute wait and nothing. I went into the store just to get my order and they couldnāt find it. There was a store employee standing outside the store laughing and giggling with 2 men. Still waiting a lady has a fall in the parking lot. The same lady that was standing outside talking to the men went over to where the person fell. Another 10 minutes pass and she goes back into the store and finally brings out my order. I ask her to send a manager out because that it was ridiculous having me waiting for 35 minutes in a fire zone waiting on a pickup order. She explains she is the manger and that she had a situation in the store and after that someone fell. First of all giggling with 2 men outside the store isnāt a situation; furthermore, yes itās bad that someone fell; however, it did not happen inside the store it was in the parking lot because I saw when it happened. Youād rather have a customer wait in a FIRE ZONE while you ignore the order pickup request... utterly ridiculous and unacceptable!!! Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love Michaels is basically my favorite store because is close by and I love art and I am a artist so Iām constantly getting supplies is a great store they always have coupons there are downfalls with that being said #1 costumer service is Terrible the most of the employees there have a attitude or just treat you like they are too good for you I get it I donāt dress fancy or flash my money on brands but it doesnāt mean I donāt have money to buy what I need I am just as human as a person with brands is it has gotten to the point where I no longer want to shop there like geese if Iām working art projects every day Iām not going to use good clothes Iāll make them super messy with paint #2 long lines really long lines my husband hates coming with me to the store because the long lines #3 last time I didnāt have my phone so I tell the lady I have a coupon can I add my phone number she didnāt do it but this rich looking lady need a coupon and the cashier scanned one for her the same cashier that didnāt give me one. I will give it one more try I hope I donāt see any of the #3 things that disappointed me . I feel very discriminated like Iām just as human as you are so costumer service needs to improve I was born here several of my family members are in the military and we as costumers deserve better treatment .
