The atmosphere is awesome. This is a place where you can enjoy time alone or with a friend or friends. I enjoyed my time at Kona with my husband, son and his girlfriend. Now it was our first time here I ordered the Kona Mocha, I was disappointed 😞 it lacked flavor Normally I order hot coffee or cold brew anywhere that sells it. This time trying something different. It didn't taste like anything again first time so my disappointed won't keep me away. My son who is a huge fan of Matcha lattes he was disappointed as well his tasted more of milk. This is his favorite drink, it lacked flavor. His girlfriend has the almond milk latte she said it was pretty good. My husband had toffee, Kona he enjoyed it. My son and his girlfriend had bagels with cream cheese, salmon, capers their favorite breakfast sandwich. They gave 5 stars they enjoyed it very much. My first experience wasn't bad just my drink, this will become a favorite place because the atmosphere is awesome. Staff is friendly. I will try the smoothies and other coffee choices. The music in the background is wonderful, there were a few people just hanging out sitting on their laptops either alone or with someone enjoying their conversations laughing and smiling. Certainly a great reason to return and give them another chance. I really like this place. I will add pictures of my son's salmon on bagel. Along with pictures of beverages. I don't have pictures of mine because I tossed it in the trash. But again will be doing...
Read more100% Kona coffee! It's exciting to finally have this as an option in the DFW area. I had a 100% Kona Peaberry brewed with a Hario V60 (pour-over) and it was delicious. Expensive, but delicious.
Some may balk at the prices for 100% Kona but it's expensive to purchase even if you're just buying bags of whole beans online, so the prices aren't that outlandish. However, they also offer Kona blends (approximately 40%, if I recall correctly) that are priced at normal coffee shop levels.
They also offer Hawaiian musubi, which was much tastier than I expected. We had the "Spam" and "Shaggy Dog". The Shaggy Dog was good but the Spam was excellent. Definitely give it a try if you come here.
Overall, this is worth a trip for the Kona...
Read moreUnfortunately I will not be going back. Their Nova Lox has been a favorite, whoever is in the kitchen refuses to add extra capers despite me pleading for more & repeatedly explaining that it’s not the same as it used to be. They used to put plenty of their house made pickled onions & capers so that you can enjoy each bite. This is their idea of extra capers- this has been consistent, the last five times of me ordering extra capers & pickled onions. Which I have no problem paying extra, despite it not being the way it was for the first year of them being open.
The other issue is the kitchen is now taking forever to get food out, forget grabbing something quick. Today it took 25 minutes for the Nova lox and the egg &...
