I went to buy a couple of items. Since i was having only three items, i went to express lane but it was closed. I went to customer service counter and inquired about when that counter will open, The girl standing on the customer service counter looked at me in a way that i have insulted a princess, I again asked when that express lane will open , she retorted with some sentences, I told her I cannot understand what you are saying, again look was that i made a mistake by asking this question, any how since I was there to buy I decided to continue with this girl, she very kindly rang these three items and I went for swiping my debit card and card was declined and princess was not happy on this, I very humbly requested to princess can I again swipe my card, she very graciously allowed to go for second attempt but look was very frightening and luckily this time card went through and my ordeal with this princess came to an end. Through out this episode princess was expecting that customers are there to serve her while she was standing on the customer service counter. She did not bothered to say hello to customers neither says thank you because it is not in the dictionary of princess. I have to hold my breath to go in and get something. They are also out of maim things all the time i.e. breakfast items, or forzen naans. And if you ask the hispanic workers they are rude. And the ladies at the register can be a little but less obvious about what they are thinking about a customer. The facial expressions make them look like as if they are not happy to so the customers or they are not happy to be there. Been going to Patel Brothers for a while even though it is bit of a drive. Every grocer seeks to capitalize on current rice shortage scenario triggered by ban on exporting non-basmati rice. Hiked up prices and unreasonable asks like a minimum purchase to buy a bag of rice. Why make a customer buy other things when they have rushed in leaving their jobs, and scores of other responsibilities in this sweltering heat only because they need rice? When a customer needs dal, or indian veggies or anything else do they rush to Target or Kroger. They will have to come to you Indian grocers for mustard, or dal or Tindora!
