This is my second time coming to Chopt in Kentlands…which is the only location I’ve been to. The staff doesn’t greet you when you walk in or when you’re waiting for service. They’re all young and clearly do not have any type of customer service training. They have no knowledge of the menu at all because they’ve never tried the items (as I was told). In restaurants, shouldn’t training include having employees try everything on the menu so that they’re knowledgeable when asked questions? The first time I came, I had questions about what the most popular food items were and the young man looked at me almost confused then went on to tell me two options and was not helpful at all. This second time, the young girl who helped me was friendly but didn’t know what any of the dressings tasted like. She couldn’t help me so she had me try them myself. There were two other young female staff members standing by her and when I said excuse me 3 times…not one of them looked up and I was standing in front of them. Finally, the girl that was serving me got their attention and told them I was trying to ask a question. They looked up and I asked them if any of them knew which dressings might go with my boyfriend’s wrap…the Chinese Chicken…one girl said she was new so she didn’t know and the other girl was just clueless and had no idea. The food is good here but the customer service is an absolute 0 out of 10. I’m very disappointed in this business and how they train their employees. Why is there no one there supervising? The two is rating is because the food was good or else I would’ve rated...
Read moreI’ve debated whether or not to write a review . Normally when I have a bad experience somewhere I just let it go . This experience just can let it go . First I would like to say I love Chopt . I was excited when it came to Kentlands . I live walking distance . This was just highlight for me .
In May 2022 I visited with my 1 year old . One particular lady working was so mean . She was seething … I figured just a rough day . I smiled and said I love chopt . She literally rolled her eyes at me .
Today July 15th I came back to my favorite spot . There was guy working and the lady . I’m assuming she is manager . Way she spoke to the young man was authoritative. I was happy the guy was taking my order and not her . Because you can just feel her meanness . He was extremely nice . This is where things just went downhill for me . There was no more Romaine lettuce left . He had to go in back. Once he came out said take 5 mins to dry . I said didn’t mind waiting . I waited with my one year old . She glared at me twice . I smiled . I said hi . She rolled her eyes . Customer behind me said wow . After 15 mins . I politely said . I’m not going to be able to wait any longer .(my baby was getting fussy ) I said it twice (politely) she ignored me . I will never step foot in here again . I will just go to the one...
Read moreI would like to start this by saying I am from New York so having a Chopt close by is amazing. There are very few salad spots in Montgomery County where I am so again I love this place. However the last few times there leaves a lot to be desired. They don’t offer bread or communicate properly. Today I was very disappointed. We came in and I ordered a chicken ceasar salad and I was told there as no grilled chicken. I was told the “lady didn’t come in”. I’m not sure what that means because surely more than one person is capable of preparing the chicken. They did have the chipotle chicken which I got instead but that makes no sense. I don’t enjoy the consistency of the chipotle chicken as I am eating it and wish I had just not ordered anything. Anyway, I hope this location gets it together from a management perspective because this should never happen. Chicken is one of the most if not most popular item people add to their salad and to be told there is none because someone didn’t come to work is...
