EDITED AFTER RESPONSE FROM THE OWNER -MORE UNHAPPY: The bowls here are great, the service however is subpar. The employees lack customer service skills and instead choose to just sit there and stare at you til you make a decision. More alarming was today when I ordered, the young female who was taking care of me rung up my order on the cash register, touched her hair, her shirt, and her phone and then continued to make my bowl with the same pair of gloves on. Considering she actually had to touch some of the food in my bowl, I am a little apprehensive to eat it...

The card I used (not cash as you said) had a different name on it, they do not ask for names on the order, and I did not input any rewards information, there is no possibility you would have been able to tell who I was. Also, if I had payed with cash you wouldnt have known when I came in, so how could you check the camera? Only one person helped me my entire transaction from payment to putting a fork in the bag. If the owner sees this, Please start taking accountability for your workers instead of fabricating a story to make customers look guilty. For someone who preaches good customer service, you lack it. I am a regular customer and planned on returning, but now I question how this business is being ran. The bowls here are absolutely delicious and living close by this is a bonus to have something like this around. That being said on two separate occasions I’ve had horrible service. First time I was the only one in shop, I placed my order of a double berry pitaya bowl. I continued to wait for my bowl as the young woman I’m guessing was making online orders? I waited 25 minutes for my bowl and not a single person walked in before or after me. On a second occasion just a few weeks ago there were 5 young women working. One of their friends came in after me and she proceeded to get their order out right away and then a women who walked in after her friends was given her bowl. I asked her is she ordered online or had just walked in, she was a walk In. I proceeded to wait almost 30 minutes for my bow until the manager walked in got behind the counter and finally started my bowl. It’s not worth it to wait half an hour to 20 minutes, this is not a first come first serve place. The younger women will serve their friends and whoever else they want in no particular order. This is sad because I live so close by and enjoy the bowls and love walking there with my children but having me wait 30 minutes for 1 bowl for no reason while I have my newborn and 1 year old with me is a complete deal breaker. I used to drive 20 minutes every morning to get bowls here, it’s the closest açaí place to me. But they’re genuinely so RUDE to customers. I’m not sure if it was the manager or what (an older white woman with blonde hair) but she looked at a customer that was waiting and said “are you going to just stand there”. Then when he said he hadn’t ordered yet she said “yeah. i know.” in such a rude tone and he got quiet. I felt so bad and quickly picked up my online order.

During the whole interaction there was another worker who just stared at me. She didn’t ask if he wanted to order, she didn’t ask me either. She just stared at me like I was an alien. This isn’t just a one time thing, this has been a pattern.

I get some people don’t get upset during customer service interactions, but imagine if that was you on a bad day. Hard day or not, it’s rude and insensitive to act like that towards paying customers. I’m not going to sit here and lie. The food is pretty average, it’s not bad. But I’m not going to give my money to an establishment that is rude to customers.
