Primo's Barber Shop — Local services in Gaithersburg

Owner told me to pay extra money to ensure that my confirmed appointment would be reserved next time. He literally told me to "put money down." That was sketchy because, their price chart has no mention of being charged extra for appointments. Likewise, this was after my barber (not the owner) said he was running late and to come back an hour later for my 3 PM appointment! This guy has my cellphone number and waited until I sat down at 2:45pm to tell me he was going to be an hour late. My appointment was not with the owner.

Furthermore, if you are not a straight male, or what society considers the norm, then you'll likely be taunted, harassed, ridiculed and disrespected by some of the staff here. I often catch them giggling when I walk in, or start talking. Some of the barbers here are ignorant, intolerant and immature. Don't say I didn't warn you.

I'm one of their best customers (I'm always early, don't require change, and I come every week), and yet I'm not treated respectfully by all the staff here. I will be selecting another barber shop in the near future. I guess they'll continue to accept, and enjoy the people who act idiotic in this shop.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

Greet customers as they walk in & say have a nice day as they leave. Stop being anti-social. Stop acting annoyed at the customers whom keep you in business. Smile, and laugh more so you don't look so angry and miserable.

I come to town from time to time and I've been to Primos barber shop quite a few times and gotten my haircut with a few different barbers there and never have I been disappointed, todays visit was definitely not worth the price I paid for a haircut, I told the barber to not cut any hair on the top of my head, but he still cut it some, at some point I told the barber to just cut everything off and I wanted to get my beard trimmed lower but I refused to let him trim it because I was afraid hed mess that up. This is a really good Barbershop for mens and boys. Very nice, and simple setup entertainment is a 50 inch flat screen TV and good music and you have chairs to sit down when it's your turn. Appointments are very important here sometimes you can get a way with just showing up but very rare so you need to make an appointment to cut hair here. Barbers here are very good I haven't seen any barbers here that does not cut good any barber here cuts very nice for both men and boys.
