The tuxes were nice, but I felt very much a nuicense when communicating for my wedding. My wedding was May 18th, and all of the guys needed to be fitted in April. We made sure everyone did that except the ring bearer they told us to bring him in May 1st. Everytime someone would go in or I would call all I heard about was prom. As if my wedding was not important. I felt as if my wedding party wasn't making them enough money, so we were put on the back burner. They had some things messed up with what was going with the tuxes as well, but I was able to call and fix it. They also told the ring bearer not to come in until 1 week before the wedding because "we need to get tuxes returned from prom." I don't quite get that because he is 7 and obviously isn't fitting into a teenager's tux size. My sister in law made several trips to try and get little guy fitted and was turned away. If prom is more important, then don't offer to do weddings in May if you are going to make the wedding party...
Read moreDucky’s Formalwear in Galesburg is the best! We were in Galesburg for my son’s wedding. Long story, but due to many groomsmen being out of town we did not rent from Ducky’s. My son’s tux from a different shop was a disaster. The coat was a different color than the pants. Dianne @ Ducky’s saved the day. We showed up 1 hour before the wedding. She fitted, tailored, and pressed a tux, and helped him put it on, all in about 20 minutes. I also need to mention that her shop was incredibly busy, but she still took care of us first...thank you to everyone who was in the shop and let us cut in line. Diane and her team literally saved the wedding...
Read moreWent there today to try on prom dresses. Told we couldn’t try on the exclusive dresses because we didn’t have parents with us. I explained that both my boyfriend and I were both over eighteen but apparently that didn’t matter. After a while the associate did let me try on the dress after seeing that we were pretty unhappy. As an adult who was intending on paying for a $600 dress myself it is unacceptable and disrespectful that I would be told that I couldn’t try it on. Working in the industry myself I can’t fathom telling a paying...
