Sidetrax Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Galesburg

We went there yesterday for my nieces birthday. There was 15 of us and for some reason my sil didn't call earlier in the week but they took us anyway. Our appetizers we didn't receive the correct appetizers but the waitress fixed it. When we started handing out plates, we realized we were given unwashed, used dishes with food leftovers and ranch. I'm not talking about a little stuck on cheese. Somehow these 12 hr at least old plates were put with clean plates and handed to us. I fed my 1yo from these not realizing until later as more were used. Then the meals come. Literally every single plate except mine and one others were messed up. One ordered parm fries and received regular, boneless wings with wild got mild, bone in mild got wild sauce, breaded chicken instead of grilled, forgotten fries, and a forgotten entree. After the first 3 or 4 mistakes we gave up and just ate what we got. When the bills came, the one that didn't receive their entree asked to have it removed. The waitress then had the audacity to lecture us about how we should have reminded her about yet another mistake. I suggested that she not make it worse by trying to blame us for their inability to perform the entirety of their job. She doubled down. When asked to speak with the owner she told us no. Another in our party had to go get the owner himself. I became overly irritated and had to take my 2 kids and leave after paying. I should also mention, not a single one of us asked for any discounts or anything. I planned to just leave and not return, but after the way we were treated about them screwing up every plate, I figured I'd let the internet know.

I remember when this particular restaurant/bar was one of the absolute best places for food, drinks, and a good time. Unfortunately those days are behind us. It's been awhile since I've dined here, I'll more than likely never return after the last trip. What's the sauce for the taco pizza? Cause it tasted like ketchup spread really thin.. The pizza toppings were sparse and not spread around very evenly. It was wierd, I think the lettuce for the pizza was actually spinach, maybe... It started with being sat at a dirty booth, then no attempt was made to clean it. Every time we spoke or asked a question about drinks, we were cut off mid sentence. Ordered 2 beers. One was charged as a tall but in a short glass, the second one was a black & blue, now I understand that some people might not know what that is, but ffs ask or say the person pouring doesn't know (it's Guinness floated on blue moon) it's supposed to NOT be mixed, well it was and I wasn't impressed. The mushrooms and mini tacos were good, along with the kids cheeseburger, but that pizza wasn't quite pizza.. Honestly it's sad that such a great place that I spent so much time and money in for so many years is a mere shell of its former existence.. I'm not crazy to expect good service, and good food when I'm paying for both. I also understand that me not bringing my family in and spending money won't actually hurt the buisness. Next time I'll just buy some Jacks frozen pizzas, put my own toppings on it. Pick up some Guinness and blue moon, float it myself and I'll spend half...

My husband and I are doing a road trip this weekend. So, we had to stop by Galesburg, IL. Originally, we planned to visit the railroad museum and then, we found out it was closed for the season. Any who, we stuck to the route we had chosen, I'm so glad we! Those unexpected times can turn out to be really fabulous, and in triple*, too! Today, I just checked the local places to eat and Sidetrax Bar & Grill, for some reason stood out to me and, off we went. We arrived about 5pm, it wasn't crowded but there were several couples already settling in for the evening. We grabbed seats and menus, told our server, that this was our 1st time eating there, she assured me that their food was very good and lots of people stopped bye, especially on weekends. Boy, Oh, Boy, was she right! Everything, was FIRE 🔥🔥🔥! I wish we had 3 more days to spend here, just on their account! If you haven't been, go! We spent less than $50, we had a 16" pizza, a couple of drinks and an order of chicken wings! We brought back extras as well! If I lived here, this would be my go-to-place. Thanks a lot, Sidetrax...
