Hello: My salesman was Sean Gerard. I was treated I think, like a queen! I really didn’t make working with me easy for Sean. I was having joint pain as I have a joint illness that flares a lot and limited walking. I was starting to hurt badly. So when Sean took me to see the trucks? I first thought I wanted a new Tundra? But? I was a bit rude ll to Sean? I didn’t realize they cost this much? I did later apologize.Even with that? He stayed so nice, so professional and kind & so loyal! Loyalty here is the word! No matter how I was he was happy, smiling, professional. Sean also rode me to see the trucks in the buggy you drive, multiple times, because of my walking limitation. Then I spotted the Toyota Tacomas? He had an underground one, black, red , I didn’t like these colors? But? I found a beautiful dark silver one! He could tell I found the one! He was also kind enough to drive me back up to get the key so I could see and get in it and bring me back there again! I was licking my wounds somewhat? Before I got in the Tacoma? I traded off a 2021 Toyota Tundra extended cab, I only had 2 years, & I loved the bigness of it! But? When I realized I didn’t have to literally jump up and jump down? To get out and in the Tacoma? Thot was one thing that sold me! Because I’m having more joint pain more often & I knew it was getting harder for me to do that in a high truck. Also on fixed income, V8 is high to keep gas in. I liked so many things better about the Tacoma? Heated seats, good gas, easier to drive , easier to park, get in and out of. Also I don’t drive far just mainly frequent errands so I needed a smaller truck. But the main points? They don’t come around as nice, knowledgeable, kind and professional as Sean! First his attitude was excellent & outstanding! He even took me to the massage chairs to help my pain while I waited on certain papers! Wow! Who does that? But also, Sean was extremely professional & smart in his ability to explain the numbers to me! Even though my payment was $12.00 more than my old one, he explained to me, and my husband, Who wasn’t there for medical reasons, that my 11% interest was not saving me more money over the life span of my other loan, it was costing me more, since I got 7.7% at Toyota and a much better rate over the longevity than Carmax at 11% Also the better gas mileage and less fill ups as well as free for life transmission warranty if serviced there? It helped us both see the bigger picture. Lastly, I closed the store down! I didn’t come till about 3 p.m. so I was the last customer. Here again, Sean removed all of my stuff out of my old one, removed my ball hitch and still! Never tried to hurry me up or rush me off. I had been working hard to improve my credit on my own? First time I ever got to buy a vehicle in only my name! I was so proud! A big step! They do take pictures for the business! But they took several of me far off and close up for my special memory and understanding what that meant to me At the end of the day? Sean Gerard didn’t make me leave just feeling like I bought a new truck? He made me feel cared about as a person first! The business part second! That really says it all about Sean Gerard and Toyota now doesn’t it! They just don’t care about your business? They care about you! I have decided I’ll never vehicle shop anywhere else! You won’t ever go wrong at Toyota of...
Read moreI purchased a new 2024 Toyota Prius on October 25th, 2024 and today is November 14th, 2024 and my loan is still not funded from the bank. My credit score is 810 so the issues have not been credit related. I have been a victim of credit fraud and must keep my bureaus locked. Unlocking them causes me anxiety to an extreme. After signing the paperwork, locking my credit back and taking the car home, I learned that there was an error with my paperwork because someone submitted my previous address that was in the system from a previous purchase even though I had disclosed the new proper address and submitted a utility bill as proof because my license did not match. After having to unlock my credit report, again, I spoke with my salesman and voiced my dissatisfaction from the unprofessionalism the dealership had exhibited for mishandling my paperwork (that I paid $699 doc fee for) and told him that the dealership should in some way compensate me my trouble and anguish. He relayed this message to Jake Thompson along with a request to call me to discuss. That call did not come. I called my salesman the next day as a follow up and once again ask to speak with Jake Thompson. A little while later, Jake called me back and I explained the situation and how upset I was over having to unlock my credit a second time, receiving more hits to my credit from additional credit pulls and that he had not originally returned my call. I went on to tell Jake that I felt a token of sorry was warrantied and ask that he have new mudguards installed on my car for my trouble. He refused. Our conversation became heated where both parties raised voices and I threatened him to call Toyota, go on social media and leave reviews. This changed his mind and then he ask if he gave me the mudguards, would I not write anything negative. I told him that its not the value of the mudguards, its the value of me as a customer. I took the high road and told him that I was not going to write bad reviews and that he didn't have to give me the mudguards in exchange. I already knew my value in the eyes of the dealership. I also reached out to Mr. Carr about the situation and his reply was condescending, defending the actions, those he was aware of and that he is willing to listen if I want to add anything further. His tone told me that he was in support of his employees. To date, my loan has still not funded because of errors in the paperwork that the dealership processed for $699. They have not once communicated to me that there is an issue. I am aware of the ongoing issue because I have contacted BOA (lender) to inquire as to why I have not received anything regarding my loan so that I can make a payment. I am choosing to move forward with letting the public know about this situation because of the dealerships ongoing unprofessionalism, lack of transparency and communication. I am not a special case. If this can happen to me, it can happen to anyone. I highly do not recommend this dealership. There are many other Toyota dealerships to choose from and hopefully they will value the customer and strive to do what is right if a mistake is made.
Comment to owner response: Name 1 thing that you have done to try and make this right. If this is your best, I truly would hate to...
Read moreThe hits keep coming. I purchased a 2021 Toyota Tundra used from this dealership. This was the second car I’ve purchased from them. The first time I bought a brand new Prius for my wife. The second time was a truck for me. My 21 tundra came with a premium price. They are in demand and I understand that, but when I purchased it, I was told That it had brand new brakes on all four corners. I recently took it in for a service and oil changed tire rotation, etc. they told me I had 2 mm of pads left. I thought that was odd considering what I was told when I purchased the truck, so I took it to another mechanic one that I trust and he offered to do the work for me so I let him while he was inspecting my front brakes. It was determined that the truck needed new rotors in the front as well Bill totaling $500 which would’ve been close to $1000 I’m sure at the Toyota dealership.
This is not the first problem that I’ve experienced with this truck shortly after I purchased the vehicle My family and I took a vacation To Florida We were staying on a second floor condo and when I walked out, it had rained that morning and found a water pool standing on my roof so under closer inspection, the roof was found to be dented in enough to hold about an 8-10 inch pool of water in the center of the roof. I sent a message to the sales person that sold me the truck and I received no response, the same salesman that sold me the Prius.
When I bought the truck, I was told it would have a lifetime warranty on the powertrain as long as I Had my oil changes performed at the dealership. When I went to the dealership for my first oil change, I was told that a tire rotation would also need to be performed to Keep the powertrain warranty a tire rotation isn’t cheap and it’s something I can perform in my driveway but now I’m left wondering how are tire rotations even related to the powertrain? When I took the truck in for my first service, I asked about the warranty or guarantee, and I was told that I would basically be fighting an insurance claim if it ever came down to it and they wouldn’t elaborate on it further. Basically, they just passed the buck to an unknown entity. Because it is not Toyota of Gallatin that the guarantee belongs to.
So now I’m just waiting to find whatever the next problem will be. Do yourself a favor shop elsewhere with trustworthy worthy staff.
UPDATE The service manager at Toyota Gallatin reached out to me and addressed all of my issues Listed in this review Toyota Gallatin has fixed, corrected or reimbursed me. They really have went above what I expected from a customer service standpoint and...
