I have bought the same pair of Johnson & Murphy shoes from Dillards 4 times now. On my 4th pair the sole splits in half. I go into the store to get them replaced. The shoe looks like new but is killing my foot to walk on the split in the sole. The Guy that sells me my shoes says I will have to contact the manufacturer directly. I ask to speak to a Manager. The Manager comes over and explains the process for me to send them back to Johnson & Murphy? I said I didn’t buy them from Johnson & Murphy I bought them from Dillards so you should send them back and explain it to The manufacturer? I asked her what happened to customer service? I told her I should have bought them directly from Johnson & Murphy if that’s who is going to help me with future problems? She apologized again but you could tell she could care less and wanted to get back to whatever she was doing before I arrived. I left the store walking on a shoe that was hurting my foot and they had a replacement in my size. MORAL OF THE STORY.... Go to Dillards and find your right size then order them directly from the Manufacturer!!! Dillards is the Middleman and worthless when it comes to service after the sale. I am going to Let Johnson & Murphy know what a horrible ambassador they have standing behind...
Read moreI had purchased some dansko tennis shoes that are are an ecru color and despite the label of scotch guarding the shoe was impossible to keep clean. Even just touching the tongue on the shoe to adjust fit was turning dark. I had taken the shoes to a shoe repair store to ask about cleaning and they said there was nothing they could do for me. I took the shoes to Dillards to see what they could do for me. When speaking with the manager she said there was nothing they could do because the shoes were past the return date. Once the manager saw I was past the return date and I started to ask questions, she was rude and short with me. She told me to contact Dansko customer service, I asked for the contact number and she told me to google it. I told her I thought the material in the shoe was defective and wondered why they could not accept a return for a defect in the shoe. She told me they are not defective, just dirty and then she walked off. My mother and I have shopped for shoes at Dillards for years, this type of treatment is not acceptable and we will not be returning...
Read moreCan you give zero stars?!? I ordered 2 items online, did not receive a proper tracking number, and had to reach out to customer service. Finally, I received a package but with only 1 item. Called customer service, who opened a claim. My claim was denied because the WEIGHT of my package verified that there were 2 items. WHAT?!?! Are they calling me a liar? Now, I'm waiting for a supervisor to reach out to the vendor to verify the weight when shipped. So now they have my item and my money and they think that's okay. What happened to customer service? According to them, I'm being punished because of fraudulent claims. Insane! Companies have insurance and built-in dollar losses for those things. Clearly, I will no longer shop with Dillard's because, to me, shopping is not just about selection, prices, and quality products. It's also about quality service and customer respect, and those are clearly not within...
