EntertainMART — Local services in Garden City

This store is a complete rip off! I have shopped here on 3 different occasions, each has been a huge disappointment. The first time I was left for over 5 mins at the register while both employees were in the back. Not only could I have very easily walked right out with the merchandise but upon their return they didn't even acknowledge my wait, instead seemed put out that I was distracting them from whatever the priority seemed to be at the time which was clearly not any of the customers in the store. This last time I purchased a game for my son. The game was scratched. Rather than exchanging it to avoid further charges I was forced to repurchase the new game and was "credited" back for the return. Been 14 days and no refund. I called to ask about the refund time frame and was instead asked questions and told to call my bank. I will not be returning. Tread lightly. They will sell you damaged merchandise and when you return it they fail to refund the money but will happily keep the game/merchandise. I left completely disappointed. It’s clear this store is just trying to make a quick buck by scalping items. Popular products are marked up well above MSRP, which is downright exploitative, especially when other stores in the same mall sell at the proper MSRP—or don’t even have the stock to compete fairly.

It feels like this store is more focused on cashing in on the hype rather than providing a genuine shopping experience for collectors and enthusiasts. This kind of price gouging leaves a bad taste, especially when other stores manage to operate ethically. I also have on good authority that the mall doesn’t allow this type of behavior from its vendors per its own policies.

Save your time and money and support retailers who respect their customers and the products they sell. If I could give zero stars, I would. Definitely not coming back.

I had a good time the first visit. An employee helped me put a yugioh deck together. I liked the stores contents a lot.

My second visit today (08/26/24, 6pm) was terrible. Two of the women employees harassed me while I was with my son. They passed by me and said "Someones ugly, aren't they?" while the other giggled.

This giggling whilst in the store went on our entire stay there, my wife eventually joined me in store, and they kept doing it.

They were purposefully ignoring a ringing phone, and when they did answer. They laughed at the persons name who called. Overall terrible behavior.

They even tried to approach me AGAIN, and then turned around suddenly while the one employee muttered "no don't". As if finally changing their mind.

I left, and let my wife get the stickers I picked out.
